if you like waffles, consider this optional, but if you luv waffles, consider this a must have item. enjoy waffles at home that are actually better than most, if not all, the fine breakfast eateries you've been sampling for years. these waffles give you more of what you eat waffles for. yes, it's a bit pricy, but you'll enjoy great waffles for years after you've forgotten how much you spent. (o k, that's probably not true, you'll probably remember how much you paid, but you know what i mean)

I love this thing. I got it for my wife after breaking her previous waffle maker during our move. It makes very tasty waffles, pancakes, as well as awesome Omelets or "Womlets" as my son has started calling them since they are made in a waffle maker. Instructions suggest that you bake on a level 4 however that is VERY dark. We would suggest starting on a level 2.5 for waffles and 3 for "Womlets". Everything is cooked through this way. I wanted to give this a 5 star rating but had to take it down to 4 stars for two reasons.
1) There is no way to take the plates out for cleaning however it still has been pretty easy to clean with nothing sticking so far.
2) The most important reason i dropped my rating by one star is the fact that unlike other tabletop cooking systems this WHOLE system gets VERY hot. I was burned several times while learning how to use this.

So in conclusion be very careful as you can be burned but enjoy this great machine.

Size of letters and numbers for dial are not easy to see. Temperature setting has to be critiqued depending on your own preference. So waffles are sometimes over done as well as omelets. There was a tough skin on each side of omelet. Set your dial ,then check it. Consider where you want to store appliance also. It needs a designated place. I did not receive a pre-measured cup for waffles/pancakes with my appliance so I'm learning on how much to put on the grids. Called customer service in January 2018, regarding the pre-measured cup for the Cuisinart WAF-B50 Breakfast Express and was told they would send one but still have not received measuring cup. It is now March 3,2018.

Belgian waffles - just like you get downtown, but without the crowds! Gotta play with the settings to get them the way you want them at first, but then they are perfect every time. Little extra butter in the batter to enhance the flavor, they come out that golden brown that you can only hope to achieve at the diner on Sunday, when the packed crowds and screaming kids forces the wait staff to hurry orders and the food is undercooked. Now, you get perfect waffles, with butter and maple syrup, served up piping hot, with your favorite coffee and your Sunday paper, then leisurely roll onto the 5PM Church service after a pleasant Sunday with the family. But, I digress.

Waffles, grilled cheese, omelets, this machine does it all. Perfect waffles every time, easy to clean, attractive on the counter, and the fact that it does more than waffles helps justify the cost in your head when you think about the price, which is actually pretty reasonable. 5 stars on the product - recommended!

Believe this would be a very nice item if it worked. The thermostat on item received over cooked even on the lowest setting. Beware, item description says stainless steel, only the area to place the batter is stainless steel. The other construction seems to be of some other material unknown to me.

BROKE in a year!

The top part with the spring inside broke in a year's time with very seldom use. Now it will no longer stay in position when you turn the omelet, pancake, or waffle over. The heating element still works but to cook you must hold it in place. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE FOR IT TO BREAK WITH SELDOM USE IN ONLY A YEAR. I would NOT recommend this product.

Not just for waffles!

Bought this for my wife for her birthday. She absolutely loves it. She makes lots of things other than waffles with this. She makes her own bread and stuffs it with chicken or sausage and cooks it on the pancake side of the waffle iron for a quick and easy lunch. One of the best things I've ever bought her.

We have been looking for a new waffle maker for a while. I saw the breakfast express and knew we had to get it. The kids can make quick omelets with two eggs, salt, pepper, cheese, and precooked bacon, ham, or sausage. Start to finish 5 minutes. They can also cook delicious waffles in a matter of minutes! We get the pancake mix at Sam's that you only have to add water to. It's super easy and we have a better breakfast than you could get at a restaurant in a few minutes. The kids have been using it to cook breakfast before school. Highly recommended!

We've been using this every morning to make eggs for breakfast. Once you figure out what setting to put it on making perfect eggs every morning is fool proof. We've used it for waffles, pancakes, and grilled cheese and it's perfect every time.

The "beeps" can be confusing at first, but overall this thing is great! It churns out waffles as fast as we can eat them, cooks an egg faster than you can get your plate ready, and does a great fluffy omelet. My favorite are toasted sandwiches. A little sour dough, some specialty cheeses, oh my. It cleans easily and so far, nothing at all has stuck during cooking!

Highly recommended
