A beautiful, finicky, quirky, powerful camera. Low light performance is poor, and there are very few physical controls (which makes rapid adjustments very cumbersome). You need to purchase an SSD drive from the official Blackmagic list of tested and approved drives (Google it). I bought a Kingston HyperX 480GB and it has been a wonderful, fast, cost-effective drive.

Build quality is sturdy and exceptionally good. The firmware is updated frequently and I have enjoyed new features added every few months. I have faith in Blackmagic, but this camera is definitely still in development. Think of it as a public beta test that you pay $3000 to opt in for. I'm glad that it's not my only camera, but I'm glad that I'm not without it.

Superb Image and Build Quality

Great imagine quality with an Incredibly sharp image. However, low light situations are nearly impossible to work with. Build quality of camera is phenomenal and the touch screen is extremely easy to use, except when in situations with a lots of glare. Overall if you can get past of few quirks, it will bring a whole new level of quality and professionalism to your productions.

I love this camera! I use it for commercial work and made my money back in 2 weeks! Great camera, with a picture!. Don't let anyone tell you this isn't a great camera. Every camera has it's down fall, but the downfalls of this camera are severely outweighed by the pros! I am going to be filming an independent feature on this hopefully within the next couple of months.

This product for the money can't be beat, but you have to do your home work before you begin shooting so that you understand the pros and cons of this platform. Go to youtube there are several reviews done on it.....I would purchase it again!

I WISH you could at least film at 48fps. You need fast lenses as the ISO only goes up to 800. Otherwise really great.

Bought Two and Returned Both Due to Not Working Properly

This is the second Blackmagic Production Camera that we have bought from Amazon and unfortunately we have had to return both for being faulty. The 1st one was due to the touch screen stopping to work on the third day of use and the 2nd one due to the battery not working from Day 1. Every time we charged the battery it never would go higher than 10% and would die within minutes of being on. We had to keep it plugged in if we were going to use it.

Very disappointing for a product like this! The quality of the video is exceptional, but the product's continued malfunctions is not acceptable. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the video quality, but if you can't touch the screen or have power, then the quality doesn't really do much to help with filming :(
