It's much too large to use as a table fork...esp. for children...they wouldn't have a chance (in using it).
The fork is made for twirling your pasta clockwise...for right-handed people. Counter-clockwise doesn't work. The 'twirl' on the fork stem is meant to go only one way: clockwise (as stated above). I'm left-handed.
The forks are much larger than needed in eating, the extended length would be prohibitive in attempting to set them down across the plate (between bites); they would be good in transferring pasta from a main kettle/dish to the diner's plate. U could get a lot of pasta on the two forks quickly. Getting them off, however, would be tricky.
I've seen where pasta can be twirled with a regular fork using a soup spoon at the base. These wouldn't work; they're too large.
They're cheap looking and aren't ergonomically correct; they're too thin and flat. The top of the fork needs some sort of grip on it, to hold the fork while U twirl/twine. I kept dropping the fork while attempting to unwind the pasta.
Putting the pasta into your mouth is challenging also. There's a lot of pasta on the fork; you'd have to continue dipping the pasta into the sauce otherwise, your first bite would have a lot of sauce, but after that; almost nothing.

Interesting but not very practical a regular fork and soup spoon work just as well. Not worth the expense. Save your muny for some thing more practical.
Fun and functional. Elegant and easy to use.

Compared to the Mafia style of stuff and slurp, a little practice with the spiral forks and a small dose of coordination will result in far less sauce flipped on the tablecloth and clothes. For years, our family supplemented aset of similar length and style, straight-handled German spaghetti forks and spoons with four of these spiral forks. We just ordered two more pair to help satisfy the growing demands of six kids and 15 grandkids. If you shop for these spiral forks,do the math and look for two pair at less that $40 total compared to a set of four for $80+.
fun!
