Great value and functionality to make coffee house-style drinks at home!
by Amazon Customer (5 out of 5 stars)
March 12, 2015

For the price I didn't have the highest expectations but felt it was worth a try. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it works great and is very easy to clean compared to a true frothing machine or attachment on an espresso maker. I enjoy a Starbucks latte but the price and excessive calories/sugars aren't something I want to make a regular habit so this was my solution to that, that I can have at home any time. To get a coffee house style of "latte", I brew a strong small cup of coffee in my Keurig with the reusable filter and a good quality ground coffee but a k cup works fine too. I heat 1/3 cup of 2% milk in the microwave for 30 seconds so I'm not pouring that much cold milk into hot coffee. 2% milk seems to have the most latte-like effect with this frother, from my experience. I add 1-2 tablespoons of a flavored syrup to the milk (some are more potent than others) but you could also just add a sugar or sweetener to the coffee as well. I use the frothing machine on the flavored milk for 20-30 seconds to get it extra fluffy and then use a spoon to hold back the the most frothy part when pouring into my coffee, then spoon the heavy froth on top. It's perfect every time for a fraction of the cost and calories as a coffee house drink and it's always a big hit when we have out of town guests staying with us. The whole process can be done within 2 minutes before a work day so you can take your "fancy" coffee drink on the go. So far I do not have a downside to this frother, it's quiet and straight-forward to use. In the price point I don't know that there's a better option for frothing milk at home.

So little foam for the work
by Drumlin (3 out of 5 stars)

Frankly disappointing, but maybe my expectations were too high. This is NOT a stirrer, don't try to use it by immersing the entire head in liquid. I get that. It's just supposed to incorporate air into the liquid to make it foamy. The directions say to hold it at an angle, but I think that's useless. I got better results by holding it at only a very very slight angle, mostly straight up and down, then of course dipping it up and down for longer than the 20 seconds recommended. Careful, it splashes at first. Once some foam is created you have to drop everything and quickly spoon the foam on to your coffee before it breaks apart, and it does break apart very quickly. It could be I expected more from this thing, as I've never had a foamer before. Not sure how long it'll last with regular use, but since I probably won't use it much, a long time for me.

Wonderful Gadget

I purchased an Eparé Electric Milk Frother on a lightning deal as a gift for my daughter, my sister had told me they were very handy, .... then decided to treat myself to one, .... and to buy my younger sister one, all of this in the space of about 15 minutes! I was not at all disappointed . This is a fabulous handy dandy little frother, and it does a great job, especially considering it uses 2 AA batteries. I cannot overstate the convenience of this little device, no ponderous setting up, and very easy to clean. I will continue to keep Epare on my list of cool gifts.

p. s. Be patient when it comes to frothing time. Although the video shows about a twenty second time span, the time varies greatly, but it is worth every extra second! :)

Just had it for 2 weeks but so far it's excellent. I froth cold and warm milk and milk substitute products for my coffee and cocoa and it makes them seem like more of a treat. This handles easily, is a cinch to clean, looks cute and does not seem like it would break easily. The grip is soft and easty to hold, not slippery in wet hands. I would like it if there were a little rack to hang it on or a way to set it upright on my counter as I don't put it in a drawer. I will not stand on end and that wouldn't be good anyway as water from cleaning would run inside the motor housing, but some way to hang or stand it beater down would be good.

Good quality. Light weight. Wish it came with a stand.

Update Review October 2017:

Bought it in January 2015. Worked great until October 2017. It just stopped working. I was not used for 3 months this summer, so I'd say that this product lasts for a little over one and a half years. It is weak to mix protein powder with water, it is great to mix liquids or soft butter in coffee (bulletproof coffee).

Original Review: It works great. I wish it had a stand, it was my fault for not noticing that it can't stand alone. But it works great and it's very light and has a nice grip. Looks exactly how it is shown in the picture.

Great Item!

I love this little frother! It is exactly what you expect, a frother. I have only used this with milk. I like foamy milk on my coffee for a touch of elegance and taste. I have found that heating the milk before frothing is best to have the foam stay on top longer. For $12 this is a great product!

This is a one speed frother which is fine. The handle is smooth and great to use. Cleaning it is a breeze, just partially fill a tall cup with water and a little soap and then give the frother a quick spin in it. Then I rinse it off in the sink and spin it quickly to dry it off and voila! your done!

I will update this to let you know how long the battery lasts.

Great Frother!

Update: stopped working. Replaced with a much better frother. This one is wimpy in comparison.

This frother works well - just takes an easy few seconds to whip up a froth. I use almond milk and don't heat it, just add a splash of boiling water and spin again right before I pour the milk into my Aeropress coffee. I like to spin the froth into the coffee, too, which this frother accomplishes perfectly. You can't lift it out of any liquid while it's still spinning or you'll be wiping down the walls the way I did more than once 😊

Great customer service!

This overpriced frother completely stopped working within 6 months.(Yes, despite changing the batteries.)
(Aug 2016) After my 1 rating was posted, Epare contacted me letting me know the product carries a limited lifetime warranty. They said they're sending me a new frother! So, I'm changing my rating to a 5 for good customer service! Hopefully the next frother will last longer!

Create delicious and creamy foamy milk - great for all sorts of drinks!
by Crystal (5 out of 5 stars)
February 23, 2015

This little frother is simply amazing! It's super easy to use, easy to wash, yet it has helped me make some great cappuccinos since purchasing it. As the instructions it comes with say, you just heat up some milk and before it comes to a boil you use the frother to foam the milk. Just press and hold the button while moving the frother around the milk to get good foam and voila! You're done! Now all that's left is to pour it into a good cup of coffee, espresso, matcha, tea, or anything really. It works really well with regular milk (even lactose free) as well as half&half. Being lactose intolerant though, I couldn't get non-dairy milks to foam but that's just because of the milk. Anyway, as I mentioned above, it is super easy to wash: Just DON¨T let the milk dry on the frother! It is hard to wash dried up milk from the wire frother, but before it dries up just spin it in some soapy water, rinse, and spin again to dry and it's ready for another use. Plus it's lightweight, durable, and has a lovely blue color. It does run on batteries though, it's not a plug-in type electronic. Still great though!

Good quick frother
by Mike (5 out of 5 stars)

I had another procuct similar to this a few years back, and enjoyed frothing milk with it. It was only ok. This one, I was surprised how much better it was. It frothed a small amount of milk really quickly and easily. The batteries I put in weren't new and it still does a great job. Very satisfied with this frother! Easy to clean, I turn the water on put it in the stream, and push the button a few times, carefully so water doesn't fly everywhere.
