Edit: I have since used this float in a pool several times and it is fine. Doesn't lose air, doesn't dip into the water or tip over easily. If it was a tad bigger as the picture shows, it would be a 5 star float.

Original Review: I have flamingos and unicorns but wanted a lay down float. I bought this one originally for the pool but we tried it out at the lake this weekend. It is fairly big although not quite as big as the photo on the box makes it look. It isn't super heavy duty but good enough. It is really made to just lounge on and I think it would be great for that.

My 18 year old nephew and his girlfriend put this float to the test in the lake and it held up pretty well. It lost air several times though but that could be because they were kind of bouncing around on it. They did say that, with just one person laying flat, the float sinks a little and they do get a bit wet. But it held two people up and didn't pop on the rocks out there or otherwise get damaged.

I paid a little less than the current price but that was the price it was on the page at the time. It's worth it if you want a float to lounge on. It isn't as huge as I expected but big enough certainly for one average or slightly more than average person to lay on and relax. It was a worthy purchase. It's not made to be used heavily or be pulled behind a boat or any of that. Just to enjoy the sun lounging in a pool. I gave it 4 stars. I hope it doesn't lose air when we use it just to float on in the pool.

10/21/16 UPDATE on my review:

I'm so disappointed. I just got this float on August 16, 2016 and loved it. Two months later, it has a tiny pin hole in the crease. I used the provided patch and it is not working. It's very weak. The air is coming out the sides of the patch. I wish I had a way to communicate with the seller. I no longer have their e-mail. I will try reaching out to Amazon. I loved this float so much but disappointed it didn't last longer. I saw other reviews that said the same. I think if they gave you a more sturdy patch maybe that would help. Anyway, I'm so bummed. I really loved the comfort of this float especially for reading.

I just received this float. It is so cute. I love it. I floated on it today and read my Nook all day. It was super comfortable. The cup holder fit my Yeti perfectly and the other compartment I used for my tan lotion and leave in conditioner. I know a few reviewers commented on the length of it and I'm 5'7" and thought it was perfect. Just the heels of my feet hung over it, but I like that because when I turn on my stomach, it's much more comfortable to have your feet hang a little over. For the price, I was very happy with my purchase. Also the company who manufactured it sent numerous e-mails to me making sure I got the item, that it arrived in good condition and that I was satisfied with it. You don't see this often. I loved it.

I bought this float last summer for $11, and it was the best money I'd spent so far on a pool float. It's the perfect size for me to stretch out and catch some sun on, and it held up great all summer with near-daily use. Unfortunately, when I stored it in the shed for the winter an animal got in and tore off pieces of it to make a nest. I knew I wanted to replace it since I liked it so much, but I was disappointed to find that the price has nearly doubled since last summer.

I purchased 2, thinking my two kids could have one each.

Well they gotta share with mom now. I am a plus sized woman and I can lay on these and have extra to spare around my big ol'butt.

We bought 2, and let me tell you. It's not thick vinyl but it's not thin vinyl it's about a medium thickness. But in regards to medium thickness it's on the thinner side. First float and just like the other reviewer micro pin holes at the seam and bubbles. Too bad if they were just a tad but thicker they would be really nice.

Just received this float yesterday. I chose this so you can lay your arms out on the sleeves to tan as well. I didn't even think about the fact that you could lay on your stomach as well. So many floats aren't comfortable when trying to lay on your stomach, but this one is! We all loved it!

I really love this float....has to be my favorite pool float. The only thing is it has gotten a small hole right in one of the seams. I used the repair kit and it worked great but now another small hole has started down from the other. I will get back out my repair kit. For the price, I will probably also just order another to have an extra because it is such a roomy float to relax in the pool!!

This thing is awesome. Tried it out this weekend and it's great. The cup holders work well. Great size. And material seems durable enough. The only criticism I would give it is that the photo with the girl makes it look like it will fit two people comfortably. I'm 5'9" and about 183 lbs and my feet hang off about 6" (which is no problem) and for another person to be on there with me we'd have to get a little cuddly (also no problem). Just thought the picture was misleading a little bit. The girl is probably tiny in real life. Overall this thing rocks and is exactly as expected
