Wrist strap broke first 15 minutes of use on day 1 of vacation. Now my GoPro is at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean.Ruined any chance of videos or photos of my vacation. Save your money on this cheap crap. The wrist strap is literally fishing line wrapped in fabric. Look at the photo.

Awesome product!!!

Very well made, great price, lightweight and solid construction. Very easy to use and you can disassemble it in multiple ways making it very versatile with what you can do with it and also making it very easy to store. It is mostly made out of plastic, though it is very sturdy and solid so it wont break, but being plastic allows you to take it underwater for diving videos and not be afraid of it rusting (the reason I purchased this). It also brings an extra longer strap for the wireless remote which I assume was to strap the wireless remote around your wrist. Awesome product and would definitely recommend it.

Versatile selfie stick
by Dale Dellinger,Top Contributor: Photography (5 out of 5 stars)

We bought this for our son and he really likes it. He likes the large hand grip and the easy way the sections are locked and unlocked with a simple twist which make extending and collapsing very easy. He likes that there are only 3 sections but the length when collapsed is short enough to stick in a backpack. The last leg section (nearest the camera) isn't as stiff as the other legs, but this doesn't need to be as stiff as a tripod leg, and it seems like it's okay. My son thought he would probably often use only the lower two sections anyway.

This stick really consists of 3 parts which makes it very versatile. There's the collapsible stick itself, a standard 1/4" tripod ball head is attached to the end of the stick, and finally a GoPro tripod mount is attached to the ball head. Other reviewers have noted that the ball head can rust -- we haven't used it in the water yet, but if that happened, you could attach the GoPro tripod mount directly to the stick and use other GoPro mounting pieces (not included) to angle the camera towards yourself. Also, you could attach a (smaller) regular camera to this pole by removing the GoPro tripod mount and attaching the camera the ball head.

Lastly, the wrist strap is also attached to the pole with a standard 1/4" tripod screw mount, so you could use the wrist strap directly to a camera if you wanted.

Edit 9/13/16:

Eco-Fused contacted me about the original pole they sent me, and I told them my frustration and disappointment with it. They were very helpful offered to replace the pole I had with another model, and I absolutely love it! It is exactly what I was looking for, seems like a sturdy build quality, has a place for the remote to snap into place, each of the extension pieces now LOCK into place. They were very helpful and sent me the replacement pole within 2 days. Awesome customer service and great product!

I took this pole with me this past weekend and so far Im extremely disappointed. The top wingnut screw that anchors the gopro to the pole isnt very sturdy, and seems to come loose a lot. Im constantly having to make sure its tight. It swivels at the top, but its kind of a pain to lock into one place. Also, when I extend the pole out, its really hard to lock into place, seems like if you twist it too far it just slips out of place, so you have to find a sweet spot on where it wont move much, but then that throws off the orientation of the remote. When you extend the pole you have to then twist the part that you extended to tighten it into place. It would be much better if each part actually "locked" into place, rather than just use tension. The strap is literally held on by a small string that looks like it would break with a little tug.

Pretty disappointed, especially after reading all the good reviews....

Problems Resolved
by Jerry York (3 out of 5 stars)

I received this product in good order and it initially worked as I expected. However, a few days later when I went to use it with the camera it would not extend. All three sections were locked tight and after some manipulation I was able to get 2 sections undone. The 3rd section was hopelessly locked and couldn't be fixed. I'm a fairly good handy man but once one of these sections pull apart there is no fixing them because the plastic shims end up at the bottom of the tube and can't be retrieved.

Finally, I wrote to the seller of this product and was pleasantly surprised with his cordial attitude. They agreed to ship me a new unit at no expense to me. He requested that I write a small report as to what happened so it could be passed on to the vendor, which I did. Yesterday I received the new unit and so far it's working well. I would suggest using very little pressure when locking and unlocking the sections. A slight twist is recommended. At this point in time I can't recommend buying this product but I can highly recommend buying from this seller.

Updating my review after replacement with a different pole
by T. Adeeb (5 out of 5 stars)

I am updating my review after the Customer Service communicated with me. Just their communication is a 5 Star Rating. Awesome. They replaced with another pole which is extremely good and it has locking mechanism on each pole extension. This is the new pole I received http://www.amazon.com/CamKix-Premium-Telescopic-Pole-16/dp/B00QF7725S?tag=c-t-20. I strongly recommend using this pole. It has same features plus you have a phone adapter. This pole gives me confidence to use my $500+ GoPro Hero 4 Black edition camera plus it gives option to have a GoPro wireless remote. Thanks ECO-FUSED customer Service for an excellent communication and making me satisfied.

This was my original review

Expected this pole was sturdy but I am so disappointed with it. The lock mechanism is so bad and it is flimsy when you get the locks properly done. I can assure it will break very quickly as drag the pole longer. This only good when you have anything under 24" or so. I would not put a $500 camera on top of this pole and expect it stand. Very very disappointed.

Cool, but a little hesitant.

Being my first GoPro pole, I'm not really impressed. It extends really well, and I have to REALLY tighten it in order for it not to wobble...at all. Then at the same time, it's a little more difficult toe untighten the poles and then I feel as though it's about to snap. I want to take this to Peru with me, but I'm not sure if it's going to get the job done. I'm going to play around with it for a while. I might look into buying another one but I think if you're just taking this out for general shooting, you'll be fine. I just don't want to worry about this breaking when I'm backpacking (which I'm probably suspecting will happen). If anything, I'll probably break it trying to tighten it to stop it from wobbling.

However, the swivel ball at the top is pretty nice and I don't have any problems with that holding up my GoPro Hero3 White.

Great for the price

Decent pole for the GoPro Hero4.

PROS:
- Allows for long range from GoPro to the subject, the pole expands super long
- Ability to attach Smart Remote is nice
- Safety string is nice to have, definitely appreciated having it with this pole.

CONS:
- I don't exactly prefer the grip, it's not very "grippy" and sometimes I have to hold onto it pretty tight, especially when expanded 40".
- Difficult to stabilize when expanded at 40"
- Positioning knobs start to become loose and easily loosened when left in a bag or moving around in a backpack.

Overall, decent pole, especially for the 14" to 40" range. I now have the 3-way GoPro pole and it does not expand as far. Definitely willl miss this CamKix Telescopic pole for that. However, the GoPro pole has way better grip, which is one of the reasons why I won't be using this pole anymore.

Light weight; durable and fun! Go for it.

An amazing product!

I bought it for my gopro. I am a freshwater aquarium hobbyist and I go on collection trips to survey fishes in their natural habitats. Making videos of them underwater is a main part of my hobby.

Before this, I used to hand hold my gopro and that did not work out well because I could not take the GoPro to the deep water and at angles where I would have liked.

This time I bought this and I have made such amazing videos of fish. Amazing product. Very light, durable and partable. It folds down very small. I had it in my existing camera bag with no problem.

And it floats.. even with a gopro at one end. It does not let the GoPro drown.

But I could not bring it back from the trip. A friend liked it so much and I gifted it to him :)

I am buying my second one now.

Cannot be more happy with a product. Here's a trailer of what I videos I made with it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UApusC4kiO4

Yes, the ballhead is not like RRS BH55 but come on. It costs $22. It's best bang for your buck. The handle is cushioned and the string loop at the end works great too.

Perfect Accessory for any GoPro user. Highly Recommend! Great seller too!

I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs a GoPro extension pole! I recently purchased it for use on a trip to a local watering hole where I was swimming with it, cliff jumping and taking "selfies" with my wife and had no issues. Although the soft handle can be used in water, you may want to remove it once you're finished so that it can dry faster. Also, be sure you understand how the tightening mechanisms work prior to getting in the water. Otherwise it makes it more difficult to tighten the connections once your hands are wet.

I did have one slight issue with the mounting pin that hooks to the Go-Pro. However, I contacted the nice people at ECO-FUSED about it and they were very helpful and responsive in getting me what I needed. I highly recommend purchasing any of the products that ECO-FUSED offers as their customer service team is top-notch and willing to help you in any way they can.
