fun & funner

not the best build quality - this is my 2nd one - but so much fun and a definite must have in the gear bag. i will treat it with a little more care this time around. the first one broke when it was packed in my camera bag and i accidentally flipped the power switch on (very easy to do). the lens extends when the power goes on but since it was packed in my bag the lens had nowhere to go which mr. fuji did not like. something broke inside. now when i put it in my camera bag i make sure to take a battery out so i can't accidentally turn it on.

Newer isn't always better.

I bought the older version of this instant Fujifilm camera back in 2009, but I thought maybe I should get an update. "This camera looks a lot cuter than the older one." Sadly, after less than 5 months (maybe used 7 or 8 times) it decided to die on me. I've changed out the batteries and bought new ones to be sure, but it refuses to turn on. The pictures came out beautifully and it was fun while it lasted. Fortunately, the older version is still going strong. Newer isn't always better.

Trade beer for pictures, it'll help offset the costs.

Ok. yes so basically this the same function as the older version of this camera. There's no difference except for the new button layout. For say the 40 dollar difference between this and the older version you get:

A: The actual aiming reticle is way better now and a huge improvement. Its really clear where your pictures are going to fall on the frame.

B: Lets be honest this camera just looks way better. It looks way more like that retro camera you want a drunken friend parties rather that the kinda clunky fat design of the older model.

If you wanna save money and have really great aim. Get the old version. I've had that for two years and it was great. I gave that camera to a friend and she loves it. For 40 more you get a nice looking modern ish looking camera that gives you the same photos you'd expect from a "hipster cam" like this.

The real reason why these cameras is so worth it isn't the picture quality (get a nice fat mega pixel cam or DLSR). The reason for paying 60-70 cents a shot is because there's nothing like being able to take a picture and instantly get a tangible, givable, editable with sharpies, spill beer on this, regret everything later pictures that you can instantly give to yourself and your friends. Also you will be so popular at parties. Seriously, trade beer for pictures it'll help offset the costs.

Big polaroids anytime!

Thoroughly pleased with this Instax! We really wanted the old-fashioned bigger polaroids and had trouble finding a classy-looking camera that does the job. Compared to its solid colours models, this new design with silver-linings won us over immediately! And we love the photo quality! Beyond worth it for the price we got it for.

Large camera but totally fun for parties

Large camera but totally fun for parties....easy to use but takes a few shots to figure out the the distance and lighting. Too big for traveling but great for taking to local parties, picnics, etc. and make people's day. I had a "mini" instant camera but truly the film is just too small so returned and went big so the pictures can actually be seen and enjoyed. Great fun!

Dont buy this. Its cheaply made and will break at first bump or rise in the humidity. You would think they would figure this out and make it worth while, especially since there obviously is a demand for this product. Basically its junk. No problem returning, just wont replace it with another one.

I've been wanting to get the instax wide 210 for several years now but never did because of finance, upkeep, shipping cost & its size.

So the new one came out and the shipping was not bad, I wanted it for my wedding so I thought hey lets do this! In total I paid about $115 shipping to Australia included. Shipping was quick too! Only took less than a week to arrive.

The camera is bigger than your standard camera, I would say it's almost like a dslr. I love the photos that comes out of it, picture looks good. The camera design is definitely an improvement from the bulky 210.

Loved it, but it broke
by K13 (3 out of 5 stars)

The camera is great and I love the instant pic size in the wide format. My problem was that the lens got stuck and would not retract back into the camera after only using it for about 2 weeks. By the time I got the camera back home that day the top of the lens had fallen off. Luckily I had purchased a third party warranty plan through Amazon and they are refunding my money. It's worth it for me to give it another try with a new camera, but I will definitely make sure a warranty is in place since the camera does not seem that sturdy.
