I am going to give this an honest review having read every review on this pillow before purchasing. I think it is important to understand that everyone is different when it comes to what they are looking for in a pillow. I also think it is important to understand that many people are simply uneducated as to what type of pillow they need so they buy a pillow not suited to their sleeping style and then give it a bad review. Most of the bad reviews on this pillow can be chalked up to the things mentioned above.

I am a back and side sleeper so I put alot of research into pillows that fit that bill. I am 5 ft. 11 inches and weigh 175 pounds. I do not like pillows that are just cushy soft. I wanted a pillow that was supportive but also somewhat soft as nobody wants to lay on a brick. Basically I wanted a pillow that was a good mix of comfortable but supportive. This pillow is incredible in every way!

I measured it at about 32 1/2 inches long by 15 1/2 inches. It is about 5 inches in height. The height is important for a side sleeper as it takes up the space between the end of your shoulder and your head in order to keep your spine aligned. This pillow is not a super dense foam so it is soft but still has rebound and support. The denser the foam, the harder the feel. My head sinks just enough to align to my spine with a beautiful soft and cool feel. The cover is of beautiful quality with great stitching and a zipper that you don't even know is there. It can be removed and washed.

I want to touch on some things that I read over and over again in negative review's. The smell was one of those. I noticed a very slight smell which is actually called "off gassing." The smell was hardly noticeable to me and dissipated within a few day's. All memory foam does this so if you can not handle it, memory foam of any type is not for you. It does go away. This is true for Tempurpedic as well. The next was that this was not real memory foam. This is a laugher. This is memory foam without a doubt. I will not even expand on that because those people are flat out uneducated about what memory foam is. The next was that this was not for side sleeper's. This is every bit for side sleeper's. Everyone has a different build. Some people have broad shoulder's while other's do not. You can actually measure what is the perfect height for you before picking a pillow. I did this and this is perfect for me. Some may need a 4 inch loft, some may need a 5 inch loft, some may need a 6 inch loft etc.. Most people fall in the 4-5 inch catagory. This is 5 and probably has about a half inch of give when I lay on it. The next was that this does not keep you cool. This is a completely subjective statement. I tend to get hot and this pillow does have a cool feel to me. Memory foam in general does retain heat more and I have had other memory foam pillows that are hot. This one was not hot compared to other's I have owned and has kept me cooler than any other pillow I have owned. Another thing was that some thought it was hard. This is once again subjective. I found this pillow to be a perfect mix between soft and supportive. Some people love soft and only soft. In order for a pillow to have some support it can not just be soft, but, once again a subjective statement. This pillow is not for everyone on that front. Also, while this pillow did have a soft feel out of the box, memory foam also has a break in period like most other pillow's. If it is not as soft as expected when first purchased, give it some time and it may come out to your liking.

Lastly, I want to touch on the more highly rated, and also more expensive Iso Cool pillow. I have never owned one, however, they are almost identical in construction. The reason I bought this particular pillow is because the gusseted Iso Cool only comes in a standard size and that was just not going to cut it for me. I am more than happy that I found this pillow as I imagine it is everything that pillow is, just in a bigger size, and for less money. At the end of the day this pillow is perfect for me so I can not see the Iso Cool being any better. Hopefully this helps someone out there in their search for a new pillow. Hopefully it also helps some people out there who this pillow may not be suited for. It is not for everyone.

Very comfortable but not cooler than average

I read the reviews for this pillow before I purchased 2 of them, and I'm glad I did because I knew sort of what to expect. There was a faint odor from off-gassing of the foam but it didn't last long. It did take 2 to 3 days to get used to, but I love it now. It fits the space between my neck and shoulder perfectly, and my head sinks just the right amount into it. I don't toss and turn nearly as much and I don't get that morning neck discomfort.

Cons...ish:

It doesn't seem to be any more cooling than any other pillow I've had, but it's not any hotter, either.

The blue labeling on the case is... I don't even know why it's there. But it didn't stay long. I awoke after the first night with small blue balls of labelling on me and my bed. It was completely gone within 3 days. Which is fine, because it looked stupid anyway.

If you want a great pillow, buy it! If you want a great pillow to specifically keep you cooler, maybe look elsewhere. I bought it hoping it would keep my head cooler, and I'm keeping it anyway because I love how well I sleep with it.

Great Pillows, Worth the Price

Finally, a pillow that doesn't squash down to a pancake after 1 month. These are heavy pillows but that doesn't seem to negatively affect their comfort or support. We are back/side-sleepers and the firmness of the pillow is great for side-sleeping while the thickness is just right for sleeping on our back (I can't comment on how they would work for those who sleep on their stomachs).

After sleeping on a set of king pillows every night for 10 months, nothing has changed either the shape, size or support of the pillow or its comfort. It has not developed any indentation. These are the best pillows we've ever had in our many years of marriage. We liked them so much we've ordered additional sets for our guest bedrooms.

If I could give it 6 stars, I would.

Searching for a pillow can be a daunting task. I have a very sensitive neck and suffer from Scoliosis in my back. To fipind a good pillow is a challenge because I need the right amount of firmness and softness. I have found only memory foam pillows help my neck pain. There are so many to choose from. I bought a Tempurpedic pillow to replace the last one I had for about 5 years. The old pillow was a really nice pillow and was perfect for my neck. The new one was much lighter, softer and cheaper feeling. Over a hundred bucks and it felt like most of the memory foam pillows you see at Target or Ross. I bought a Ghost Pillow here on Amazon and really wanted to love it but it has a low density memory foam that created multiple pressure points and did not put my neck and spine in proper alignment. It was about a 1/2 inch to high. The ghost pillow looks nice but it was not as comfortable nor any more cooling than the Cool Sleep pillow from Classic Brands.

I will list the features I like of this pillow.

Memory foam is latest gel cool technology and is a midweight foam so it does conform nicely to your head and does not create any pressure points. You feel like you are sleeping on a cloud.

The pillow cover does seem to keep the pillow cool. I noticed a big difference between my normal pillow cover and the cool sleep pillow cover. The holes to allow for air flow but the foam is dense enough that it does not make the pillow too soft.

I bought the queen size which is a nice large size. The pillow is perfect for back and side sleeping which is all I do.

I was really skeptical about the no name brand and Chinese make but it seems to be of high quality. For the price I can three of these for one Tempurpedic. I was also skeptical about the gusseted design but it also seems to work rather well.

I also like the fact the pillow cover seems nice and can be removed and the pillow underneath has a cloth lining so it is not just foam.

There was some chemical smell as there is in all memory foam pillows but it was not too strong and has gone away after a week.

This is the best value, most comfortable, best quality memory foam pillow I have owned.

Buyer Beware!!!! If this pillow doesn't work for you, you CANNOT return it. Amazon's policy didn't allow a return. I called the manufacturer (Classic Brands......Gail fielded the call) to see if they would do a return. Nope. Once you open it, you own it. The warranty only covers defects. My reason to return the pillow: I have to sleep on my back due to shoulder problems. This pillow (6" depth) tilted my neck too far forward, resulting in repeated bouts of airway obstruction. Two nights of this torture was enough for me (and my wife, who kept getting awakened as I struggled to regain an open airway).

Cool sleep...?

Cool sleep? Huh. I like the pillow, it's the right height for me (an exclusive side sleeper) and while it's slightly harder (envision densely-packed foam) than I like, it works well enough. I bought it specifically for the "cool sleep" aspect but, in my opinion, it is anything but cool. I find the foam to be hotter than average pillows. A few years ago I bought a different brand of foam pillow that made the same claim (this pillow was to replace that one) and it was much cooler. Why? I haven't the foggiest clue. When you turn this one over, like halfway through the night's sleep, it is very nice and cool. But, where your head is resting after an hour, or just to the east or west of that, in the course of a night, nah.

It's just a pillow that's the right height for an exclusive side sleeper. And that's enough. Four stars.

I have searched and searched for pillows that didn't need to be replaced every few months. I must have spent a fortune. I had just about given up and decided to buy the cheapies with the understanding I'd need new ones quickly. After investing in a shredded foam pillow (famous brand), I knew I didn't want one of those. Maybe they're easy to clean and easy to re-fluff, but having to flip your pillow numerous times a night before it made it back into the dryer didn't impress me. I'd had memory foam pillows years ago and didn't think I'd like these, but I was desperate. Relying heavily on reviews, I took the plunge. The first time my head hit the pillow, I knew I'd made the right decision. I know the degree of softness/firmness is very subjective. I've never liked a squishy pillow. Neither do I like a "brick". This pillow is soft, while giving support...my head didn't fall through to hit the mattress. That being said, the loft (to me) would be too high for a stomach sleeper. I'm a side sleeper and it's perfect. And, did I mention that it isn't hot? It doesn't seem to retain heat like the previous foam pillows I had. Extremely happy!

Never had a pillow I'd say that I loved, but this one is pretty good. I had to stop using the cut-out section though. I tend to roll over to back when I sleep and my neck would be in the cut-out section and leave me with a big crick in the morning. Flipped it around and works great now. A little steep for a pillow, but I figure good sleep is worth more than 10 bucks.

Let me begin by saying that I hadn't had a good night's sleep in over six months before buying this pillow. I slept on another, much more expensive, brand of memory foam pillow for ten years, but that pillow finally lost it's firmness and had to be tossed. I didn't realize what a difference a good pillow makes! I've been searching for the right pillow for months and knew there had to be something decent out there for under the $100+ price tag of my old pillow. This pillow has been an absolute godsend. I finally sleep well! It's the perfect firmness and height for me as a side and occasional stomach sleeper. I'm 5'6" and have slightly broad shoulders for reference. I have laid on my back on it as well and it seems comfortable. This pillow is great and to find it at such a low price is even better!

I have neck pain and TMJ and need a pillow that works with side-sleeping. This one is just the right height for a 5'6" woman. The cut out is great for my shoulder. My neck pain diminished a lot after switching to this from another pillow that lost its height and firmness. This one is firm but conforms to my head and neck so it is good support. Only two issues are:
1) After a few months it compresses more than I'd like. It will "fluff" up if squeezed and whatnot from the sides. I think the airflow holes in it help with that. I am worried it will eventually just stop though and stay compressed.
2) Those airflow holes sometimes hiss at me when I roll over onto my back as air is forced out a little. I'm used to it now but at first it was really weird!
