Very good, but not a substitute for silicone gloves

I went back and forth on these versus the all-silicone gloves and finally settled on these. After using them for a few smokes/grills though I can see the need for both. These are great for handling hot grill surfaces, adding coals to the smoker and general use around hot stuff. The benefit of these is dexterity. But the first time I went to pick up a pork butt off the smoker I realized I didn't want to get meat and juices all over them. That's where the silicone gloves would be better, I think, so I've ordered a pair of those as well. These for working the smoker/grill and maintaining a fire; the silicone for directly handling hot meat since they can be thrown in the dishwasher. Absolutely the best BBQ gloves I have ever used

So I have bought two or three different sets of BBQ blows over the last couple of years and been really unhappy with most of them mainly because I have giant hands and nothing seems to fit properly. However I tend to grill steaks in fajitas quite a bit on high heat so that can be problematic trying to work on top of the grill if you don't have a good pair of gloves. I routinely have to pull my hand back when it gets too hot.

I even have a pair of those high-dollar all silicone gloves which are great for heat resistance but because I have giant bear claws for hands it takes me 10 minutes to get the damn things on and I really can't move my hands all that well and those stiff gloves.

Now I will say that these gloves are a little on the tired side but even the manufacturer includes a note stating that they are supposed to be on the safe side and as you wear them they will adapt to the size of your hands which seems to be true as I already have more room than the first time I put them. They block heat exceptionally well even at searing temperatures and the extra links on the couch makes a huge difference as far as making sure your wrist is protected as well. Dexterity is actually surprisingly good as the gloves are not all that bulky. It's also safe to put these in the washing machine but you have to let them air-dry. I'm hoping this is the last pair of BBQ gloves I ever have to buy as I am exceptionally happy with the quality.

These are awesome gloves, great protection. I've used this on pizza stones, grill grates, deflector plates, pots, pans, etc. These will not disappoint you, provided you exercise proper judgment and common sense with regard to steam and/or getting this or ANY glove wet while trying to handle anything hot. Simple heat/moisture conductivity. These absolutely work well, and anyone saying otherwise is either a troll, inexperienced and/or reckless and shouldn't be playing with things as hot as this glove can handle anyway. You're not invincible and these gloves won't make you invincible either; no glove will. Use your brain and exercise proper judgment, and you too, shall enjoy these as well!

Nice but one size does not fit all

One size does NOT fit all. I wear a size XL isotoner glove for reference. These are too small to fit my hands. I kept them as they do fit my wife's hands though a bit too large. I purchased a different brands "one size fits all", and while that brand fit me, it would not fit a lrger hand, and are way too big for small hands.

Why don't you listen to these reviews and offer these in three size ranges?

Product is good in all other aspects, and would sell more I would think.

Bottom line, medium hands - highly recommend

Small hands - will work

Large hands - move on

Not Practical for Handling Hot Food

I bought the Grill Beast BBQ Grilling Cooking Gloves to use when smoking and grilling meat. They do not serve the purpose that I purchased them. I wrongly assumed by the name that these gloves were designed to handle hot food when grilling. I was looking for something heat resistant that I could wear to grab hold of a brisket or other large piece of meat to take it off the grill/smoker or to flip it over. The heavy fabric of these gloves gets wet and dirty and they need to be washed and air dried when used for this application. These gloves are indeed heat resistant but fall terribly short for real practical grilling applications. I imagine the gloves are great for oven or stovetop cooking to handle hot pots and trays. They are not resistance to moisture and by absolutely no means are they water proof. But let me be fair and clear that the seller does not represent these gloves to be waterproof. Steam or liquid easily make these gloves wet and impractical for handling food. I almost forgot to mention that they are over priced for the quality; the gloves are essentially a heavy knit glove that has been stamped on the palm and back sides with a thin rubber polymer. If you intend to handle hot food I suggest you keep shopping before you settle for the Grill Breast BBQ Grilling Cooking Gloves.

Perfect in every way except function.

So I really like the look and feel of these gloves and they work great at protecting my hands when working with my smoker and the hot charcoal basket and Firefox.

Unfortunately I had to take 2 stars off because each glove is essentially made out of two separate layers of glove, one stuck inside the other. The two layers are only connected to each other at the wrist and nowhere else. So when you pull your hands out of the gloves you pull the inner gloves fingers out of the outer gloves fingers and have to spend a good couple minute pushing the fingers back into each other when you put the gloves back on. I got frustrated enough I started using oven mitts after a few hours of that. All they would need to do is put a few stitches in each fingertip to keep the gloves connected. I might try and do it myself so I can actually use them. If they fixed that these would easily be 5 stars.

I have been using these gloves for several months now and I love them. My only small complaint is that they are one size fits all and I have medium size hands so they fit just a bit big on me. However they work amazing! I can handle the grill grates directly or pick up 13lb. brisket and I can't feel any heat. I use them when I add more coal and feel very comfortable doing so. I trust these gloves 100% and that means a lot because I am a mechanic by trade and need complete use of my hands all day to make a living. I also had to contact the seller about some of the free recipes and the seller was very quick to get back to me, super friendly and was a pleasure to deal with. I will be a customer for life!

Didn't think I'd need any kind of gloves/mitts for smoking meat. Realized fairly quickly that smoked meat is hot! Haha. Bought these on a recommendation from a friend and are definitely worth it. They offer better flexibility than plastic mitts, and are good at keeping the heat away. If you keep your hands on the hot meat/surface for a decent amount of time, though, you'll still feel it (come on--who does that!). The gloves are just as comfortable inside as you'd expect. I only wish they were silver and black for this Raider fan instead of red and black!

I have yet to try out the recipes that came with it, but that can only be considered a bonus.

I got these for my husband for xmas 2015, he uses them for EVERYTHING (and I'm not even kidding, they are the most versatile/used kitchen/grilling accessory he owns). He has used them for anything and everything from canning, general cooking, as pot holders, for grilling, smoking, picking up/touching metal objects in the az summer sun (he works in heating/air conditioning)....these have held up exceptionally well (no sign of wear yet) which is unbelievable considering who uses them (he broke my brand new metal mop in half once.....everything needs to be heavy metal or industrial strength for my not so delicate hubby). I would say these have been a really good investment, we've even considered buying a second pair. I have nothing bad to say other than they seemed a little bulky to me (but i have smaller hands). However, they did their job and I cannot complain. I would highly recommend.

Perfect gloves for the Kamado grill

These gloves are amazing!! I have a Kamado Joe, an incredible grill, that can go up to 700F or more of heat. I had been grilling regular stuff - burgers, hot dogs, chicken skewers - and knew I needed a glove to keep flipping etc over the grill. My arm would be over the grill for 20-30 sec while I was flipping the burgers. These gloves were perfect for the job. They fit snugly, and allow you to pick up skewers precisely. I didn't feel the heat at all and it allowed me to handle the food with ease and at my pace.

I had tried other gloves but the fingers were pretty big and so were a bit clumsy. Also other gloves were short and would come up to the wrist. These are longer and that is what you need when you're flipping burgers on the far end.

- very nice grip with silicone
- snug fit which is rare. Allows you to be more precise.
- very comfortable on the inside (see pic)

Bottom line. Just get the gloves.
