Practical, convenient, charming miswak kit -- exactly what I was looking for!

I've been buying a variety of miswaks/sewaks over the last several years to find out which brand I prefer, basically just to get to know what's out there. So I was really pleased to find this kit available via Amazon Prime, since most sewaks I buy over eBay take a good while to arrive, and I never think to reorder until my current stick is down to a stub. This was a great purchase -- the kit is awesome.

This handy little kit provides a variety of needed items, all in a convenient, quaint slide-y box: two excellent quality sewaks (including a drying cloth, which I wrote to ask about, since I'd never thought of that before), and best of all, two super handy pen-type cases to hold your sewaks as you cut yours down over however many days of use. Plus a photo-based instruction sheet on use and care. Honestly, the little plastic pen-style cases were my main reason for buying this kit, since I'd just been keeping my current sewak in a shot glass, and that didn't feel very... sanitary. Or ideal.

The packaging on this thing is pretty dang adorable. Perfect for gifting to a friend or family member who's just getting started with using sewaks. My teeth and gums have become so much healthier since I started using them -- my teeth are smooth for the whole day, regardless of what I eat or drink (inexplicable, but cool!), and my gums don't bleed anymore. These don't stink!!!

I had never used a miswak before so I had no idea what to expect. I'd seen videos and posts but they all differed. Some said thay smelled awful and the taste was worse. Others claimed they weren't so bad. Some said the sticks they bought were spindly. Some had a hard time getting the stick to bristle. All I knew was I had to try using one.

Choosing what to buy was difficult. There are much cheaper ones out there but I went with Miswak Club. Cheap is not necessarily better. I thought these might be more consistent. I also liked the cases.

These work! Just follow the directions. They have a slight odor and taste - kind of mustardy but very slight. No problem getting them to bristle.

The only thing is the kit comes with two sticks. Each in a plastic case that are really nice. I think they should offer a kit without cases. If I decide to make a miswak a part of my life, how many cases do I need? It should lower the cost and, perhaps keep people from moving on to cheaper sticks.

Whenever I feel a cavity coming on I buy a pack of these, and within weeks the pain is gone. It really is a great product, and almost a single use product I would never store and keep for months because it will get moldy. It's the only Miswak product I have found suitable. Most of the ones online add artificial flavoring to mask the terrible taste of a product that is not fresh. These sticks are still damp when they arrive which means they are freshly harvested, and I don't even need to soak them. Chewing on one stick for twenty minutes after peeling off the bark, and a second stick the following week improves my dental health tremendously.

Okay so I stumbled upon this item and read the reviews on a chemical free way to whiten/clean teeth and was very intrigued. I had seen a couple reviews about the smell and using peppermint oil to help but most reviews downplayed the smell so I got it without getting an oil. I have an incredibly sensitive sense of smell and these little sticks STINK. I could barely take it out of the package the smell was so strong. I can't even describe what they smell like here other than not good! So if you are sensitive to smells at all DEFINITELY get some peppermint oil with it. It is unbearable otherwise. After soaking it in water with some drops of peppermint oil I have finally been able to use it. I was worried the bristles would be rough, but they are almost soft actually. After buying peppermint oil no regrets here with this purchase! This is definitely not replacing my toothpaste routine though. Just a good thing in between meals and after coffee!

I will try and update with any results I see in a few weeks!

Just the kind of product I need - as I grow older, I pay more attention to my teeth, and I regularly brush them at work as well as at home. When I discovered these, I thought they might be the ideal implement to keep at my desk and idly clean my teeth while I'm working at my PC. It's looking like I was right; I really like them so far. If you like flossing, you'll like these - they give a good sensation to the gum line and an antiseptic-like taste to boot. I haven't been using them long, but I think these might become part of a lasting routine.

I'd never heard of miswak or used it, but saw it recommended in a video for overall tooth care. (I'm in an all-out "gotta fix my teeth" phase right now). I LOVE the little tube and the piece of fabric, because I primarily bought miswak to use in the car after I have a coffee or a snack, driving around town for work. I wanted something that would help activate my saliva and clean my teeth since I can't be brushing my teeth in the car, haha. AND easy to store so it's not rolling around the glove compartment collecting dirt.

This is the first one I've tried, but it seems like an excellent product. The packaging is great. After soaking, the strong smell is more palatable, and if you can get past it, after a day or so it takes on just a kind of "artichoke-like" scent. That's the way I'd describe it! It's actually quite soothing.
I really love the feel of the "bristles" and chewing on it satisfies the dog side of my personality ;) I also like sucking on it after I rub it around my mouth. (So, for those who are orally fixated, it's win-win). I feel like it gets my teeth clean and smooth! I haven't noticed any major improvements other than that, since I've been using for only about a week and a half... so as for whitening or long-term benefits, I can't say. But it just feels good to use, and does an excellent job replacing an "on the go" toothbrush, and that's enough for me.

One thing I don't love is the little bits of the bark sometimes flake off and I have to spit them out or, probably, end up swallowing some. It's not a big deal, and only a few small bits now and then. Maybe just the "way of miswak", but that's why it's 4 stars instead of 5. Or maybe I'm being too rough! I dunno. But hey, it's natural, so better bits of bark than plastic, right?

I was hesitant but won over...

This came just as advertised. I was a bit hesitant but wanted something to help me as I'm a daily coffee drinker who loved hard candies. Between the coffee staining appearing and my sensitive teeth, I was looking for something natural. The stain has begun to wear off after about 7 days of use, you can slowly see it working away. I believe over time, it will only improve the whiteness.

I have to put up something about the feeling also. I have very sensitive teeth due to hard candy snacking all the time and I know the nerves can feel a bit more of effect from sugar or even cold water. The Miswak has been great, my nerves actually feel like they have improved or gotten stronger. Your teeth feel amazing after you use the Miswak and so natural. That along makes me use it at least once daily.

I did all the research on previous reviews and have to agree that the nibbling of the bark is less than desired but really not all that bad. It's a very small price to pay for such a great experience.

They present it well, detailed information on how to use it and overall just a great experience. I will be a repeat customer.

The miswak stick is great. The little box it comes in along with the individual carrying case makes for a nice touch. There is a little cloth to clean the miswak along with instructions on how to get it ready.

It comes from a tree so there will be a natural tree smell to it which may be unpleasant to some, I am more bothered by the smell of toothpaste though, so I dont mind this at all.

After brushing my teeth the first time I notice that it did what it should without the need of toothpaste and huge amounts of water.

I travel a lot and may find myself at remote places at times due to my job, the miswak will be of great help. I will order more.

The little fibers if this amazing plant clean my teeth and gums and even get into the places where floss went. My teeth feel much cleaner and whiter than with any normal, or even spectacular toothpaste. I recommend for those who must use toothpaste and a toothbrush to use the Miswak Club sticks before brushing your teeth. The whitening and anti-baterial power of neem are well known, but now I get to see the results on my own teeth.
