Terrible for anything other than a clock

Bought one a few years back at BB&B. I liked it. Bluetooth to listen to stuff while going to sleep. Two alarm setting. Loved the dimmable light on top and clock face. After a while it started to not work so well. Bluetooth wouldn't keep connected and over time the clock wouldn't play any sounds at all: alarms, radio, music (Bluetooth or aux). I couldn't find another clock radio I liked as well as this one. I figured the problems were just that it was old or something. Broke down (after having tried four other alarm clocks) and bought the same model (this time I could only find it through Amazon).

It's a lemon. Scratch that. It's a piece of garbage that wishes it was a lemon. Bluetooth problems. Again. Same ones as last time (weird thing where the clock would play and gradually over a couple of minutes the sound would go down and down and the sound coming from the unit got more distorted as it finally grew silent). I took a chance thinking things might've changed, but I was wrong. Twice shy all the way.

I love it! Sound quality is great, and the bonus of having a removable charger is really cool!

When I first purchased this, I bought a refurbished model. It worked fine for a few months, and then the numbers on the face of the clock started to glitch. Whatever, I kept using it. Before long, the Bluetooth stopped connecting to my phone, which was a bummer because that was the main reason I bought it. So I started listening to the stereo, until that also stopped working. I ended up ordering a new one ( thinking the problem was it was refurbished), but after some months the same issues started happening.

This thing is junk. Burned twice, but I didn't want to buy anything too expensive, because this stays at work on my desk. Guess I need to upgrade.

A Waste of Money

This is the second iHome iKN105BC Dual Charging Bluetooth Stereo Alarm Clock Radio/Speakerphone with NFC, Removable Power I have purchased. It has missing lights in the numbers for the time, the audio control doesn't work (the last one had this same issue and that is why I bought this one. I didn't learn that lesson.), the station selection doesn't work. I am very disappointed that I wasted money on this item AGAIN. I don't think I can return it for any kind of credit or exchange.

Just beware that you are purchasing an item that will not provide you with the service you would like. They get your money and you get a defective product.

Oh, I am so mad about this purchase. The radio is completely dead except for the usb connections that still work. This product is complete junk. Please, do not waste your money!

Too good to be true

At first I thought this was perfect. Alarm clock, speaker, mobile battery to charge my phone. After 2 months of having it, problems started occurring. First it started with the alarm. At times it wouldn't go off like it usually would when I would use the same alarm every day. Then the middle number started fading away, it started with the top of the number and is where it is at in the picture. Then the Bluetooth function would glitch out and would disconnect my phone after 5 minutes of listening to music, and now disconnects after 30 seconds. And now the battery will not charge any device. When I take the battery out the ihome and charge my phone instantly, it works for about 2-3 minutes before it just stops charging and just becomes useless.

Great Clock!

I was skeptical after reading the reviews but this clock was at a great price point even if it didn't end up working properly for the long term. No problems yet and its a great clock! I love being able to set multiple alarms and the Bluetooth is easy to pair to. The Loudest volume setting is extremely loud! There is no way you are sleeping through this clock! I LOVE the charging stick thing that came with it, super convenient to grab in the morning just in case I use my phone till death. The screen is bright and can be adjusted. Great radio too. It came with an antenna to get FM and it is nice and clear.

I purchased this clock from two different vendors for all three of my boys. The most recent purchase was through Amazon in March 2017, the lights of the center number are already burning out. For the price I would expect this to last much longer than 3-4 months. All three clocks are having the same issue so it is not isolated. I'm not sure I want to pay to return to receive new to have same thing happen in four months. It is a great concept especially for teens but don't waste your money on this product.

Where'd the buttons go??

This unit works fine. I like the power bank. I like the compact size, Bluetooth, easy set up. But I don't like that there aren't true buttons to push. This is my second iHome unit. I had the eventually replace my old one as the lights are going out. I don't know about everyone else, but when the alarm is going off, I don't get up to see that I'm hitting the right button. With my old unit I knew which buttons were which my feel. You can't really do that with this. There are no physical buttons. It's all touch buttons which means you have no idea what you're hitting. I'll be returning it for one with actual buttons.

Gave this to my daughter as a Christmas gift. It's been nicely sitting on her end table ever since then. 4days ago she noticed that the middle number appeared to not have the full led display lit up and then today the last number was having the same problem. Doesn't work very well as a clock if you can't tell what number it really is. It's not even been 3 months since I purchased it and I can't even exchange it. Very frustrating.

Revision to review;

Product was a great idea. Unfortunately it only works intermittently. And really unfortunate I didn't return it in time so now kind of stuck with it. If you order be careful if it doesn't work be sure to get it back in time. But it's a great idea hopefully they will refine it.

Easy to set up. Directions were clear. So far so good! Really good. Just arrived today. Sounds good, hoping to pull the FM stations in well all around the clock.

Hoping to report in again on this product in a month or two. Very satisfied so far. Oh, and it came very quickly too :)

Fall asleep to my book, wake up to Pandora.

This is one of the coolest electronics I own. I fall asleep while listening to my book (there's a timer) and wake up to Pandora on one of the two alarms. The portable charger is so handy, and I don't have to look all over the house for it when I need it, because it's in its "home" all the time. LOVE IT!
