Prepare yourself to have a second set of hands when installing this light fixture. If you plan on doing it alone it will be a pain. I've been installing light fixtures for 20 years and found this light to have a designer default. The light should have a threded nipple to screw into the ceiling mount to hold the light in place so you can wire it up. Also there is no ground wire for the light. If anything , you could rap the copper wire around the ceiling bracket to hold it until you get it wired up..... So if you are installing this light yourself ...the only thing that's holding this light from falling, are there two wires. Then if you're lucky enough , you'll get they ceiling plate over the screws and then the screw caps on and then that will hold the light to the ceiling.
The light isnt heavy, it shouldn't take 2 people to install this light.... I also found the screws to be a little short to hold the ceiling plate on. I had to go to the hardware store to get longer screws

It will probably be a month before this one is hung so I can't tell you that it works, but it does look great. The young teen who put it together was a little disturbed that the black "things" (my word not his!) are of the "cheap variety." They actually are (plastic), but this will be hung high, and I like that they are black so they do not bother me at all. The rest of the fixture is of heavy pipe, and the entire thing looks just as it does in the picture. It it works when we install, and I will think it is a home run!!

Beautiful and Unique Fixture

I gasped when my husband finished installing this chandelier because it was so dang gorgeous. I've included pictures with both the light on and off, but the pictures here don't do it justice. In real life it looks larger, and it is such a gorgeous focal point. It took my husband about 30 minutes to install. He's not an electrician, but he's handier than most, so I can imagine installation might take an average Joe more time. I'd say the end result is well worth it.

Loved how carefully it was packaged. Each arm was wrapped in the cellophane (Hint, find the tail end at the light socket end to easily unravel). I loved the vintage bronze finish. It is not as large as I imagined looking at the pictures (this is a good thing as I was afraid it might be too much). It was not difficult to install (my wife assisted with the hanging process which made it easier). I have 9 foot ceilings and I used only one chain link for hanging as it fit our situation better (didn't want it to fully block a wall clock). This was a great purchase.

IMPORTANT UPDATE AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEKS (reducing to 4 stars)
* As far as I tell, this fixture is NOT UL certified (no label)
* There is no ground wire (easy enough to add your own so please do)
* My understanding is that if a fire could be traced to a fixture like this it could raise a flag for an adjuster and they could end up denying coverage
* I am using low power LED bulbs (5 watt) that Mimic Vintage bulbs
* The fixture does have a gold-ish antique finish (not really a bronze like I initially thought when I opened the box). I do like it however.
* I still like this fixture but thought the additional information would be useful. I do not like that it does not have a UL certification label

After paying someone to install the light fixture, I discovered that one of the sockets does not work. I have tried different bulbs but to no avail. Now, I have the option of paying someone to take down, return it, and replace it or have an electrician come out to see what the problem is. As you would agree, neither option is optimal since I will incur more costs.

I am amending my review. I was contacted by the company and given easy to understand instructions to trouble shoot the problem. I was also told that if it wasn't an easy fix they would pay for a professional to come out and fix it. It turned out it was an easy fix. Sadly we didn't have time to do check before our big party.

I would recommend this light fixture as a "buy". It is a good value- we were going to have one made and the parts bought individualy were more expensive than buying pre-made.

Ugh- I want to cry! We paid to have the our straight out of the box chandelier installed only to find one of the lights won't work. To be clear, it is the fixture that has a defective section. Our giant party is in 48 hours- what we thought was a super cool chandelier looks like we are too lazy to change a light bulb! We'll have to pay to have someone come out and repair it- OR we pay to have it taken down and a new one put up. Either way I'm sad it wasn't quality tested. And no, you don't just plug it in- it needs to be installed to test.

Very unique light fixture. I wasn't expecting the painted-on copper finish since it wasn't clear from the photos, but WOW what a nice surprise! It came packed well and was easy to assemble. Caution: it will take some effort to hang to your ceiling bracket. The design of the hanging assembly of this lamp is not easy to work with (and I consider myself very handy). However, it is worth the effort... looks awesome!
