I like it but...

I'm a big Star Wars fan and have a room for my 'collections'. Star Wars is a large part of my showroom and with nothing but a plain desk lamp with a large shade, I had long been on the lookout for something like this. Although I thought two hundred bucks was a bit much, I knew if I didn't get it, I might regret it. I had the money so I bought it. Well I was a little disappointed in the light sabers. While the hilt of each one is true to the movies, the clear acrylic 'saber' left a little to be desired. It's not nearly as dramatic as the picture shows. I guess since I have working light sabers, I expected them to be a smaller representation like them, but this was not so. For the price this is what I was hoping. In my opinion, it's overpriced. Don't get me wrong. It's a cool light and it goes great with the room but in hindsight, I should have gone to Walmart and looked at the Darth Vader light they had for 40 bucks first. I might have found that it fit just as nicely in my room and still had more money in pocket. Again, I like it but I think anymore than a hundred bucks for this light is too much. My advice, shop around before you commit unless money is no object for you.

Very sad, great concept though

The lightsabers lite up for one week before dying off. For the price there should be an adapter for the light sabers but there isn't and AA batteries are needed. Even after changing out the batteries, the light sabers failed. Asked for a replacement and it came defective when opened. Very sad, great concept though.

Its very short, on a bedside table the light will blind you as you walk around the room.

The light sabers do not come with batteries, or an AC adapter.

In my option is not worth $200, not by a long shot.

Was broken when it was opened Christmas morning. Must be too fragile to ship. The light was broken from the lamp so it's just junk now. Keep it on the desk because it's Star Wars but not useful for lighting.

I ordered this from The Bradford Exchange and was very disappointed in it.One lightsaber wouldn't light up.The worse part was the look of the lightsabers.They looked like a little kid painted them.Not worth the price.Save your money and don't buy this.I'll think twice before ordering anything like this again.

I just got this today from the Bradford Exchange. My mother ordered it for me as an early Hanukkah/birthday present. While generally I really like the lamp, there are few things that could be improved. As other reviewers have stated, the lightsabers don't light up very well. The blue is fine, but the red on the right only goes halfway up. I was very disappointed with that. Another note, you have to run to the store and buy three AAA batteries to light up the LED thing for the lightsabers. You think for $200 that the Bradford Exchange would send you 3 batteries. Otherwise, it's a cool lamp for my Star Wars room, but if I had bought it for myself, I'm not sure I would have spent that kind of money.

I just ordered this lamp as a Christmas present a little spendy for a lamp I hope it's worth it I shair more when I get it on the 15th
