Top ReviewsSeverely Limited Functionality

I really wanted to like this item, but after an hour of using it I had to admit that this was much harder to use than other methods.
The main problems:
1) The area where you grab and press the plates together gets HOT (obviously). There is no way around that you cannot grab just below them because you really need to squeeze hard to get the wrinkles out. Maybe get some gloves, but then they should include gloves with the item!
2) The unit takes multiple passes to get the wrinkles out because a pinching pressure is much much less than a firm downward press on a traditional travel iron.
Perhaps if I only needed to straighten out a wayward collar tip (as a previous reviewer had mentioned), this product would be ok; however, that is a severely limited functionality for a $35 iron...
Not a free promo, doubled at applying adhesive strip, great little second iron

First off, I actually bought this. Didn't get a free one to try out.
It's not perfect by any means but it gets a solid 5 stars based on the gap it fills in my life, and probably yours.
This went right in the drawer at work, not planning to travel with it. I have a small office and even if I didn't, i'd get a healthy ration of crap if I brought in an ironing board and iron to work.
I have had plenty of days where I get to work and have that stupid collar that doesn't button down, and keeps popping up. Even with collar stays, sometimes collars are just ornery. All the attempts to fold it back, wet it down, and "will it" with all my willpower to please stay down, are unsuccessful.
This powers up quick, works just fine and can go back in the drawer within 15 minutes.
The thing that cinched the deal was the fold back feature. I needed to heat a veneer strip to the side of a credenza. This folded back and glued it on nicer than any professional tool I could have rented.
I still have an Iron at home and think it would be foolish to expect this to replace that. But for the money it's helpful for little jobs.

Great concept. Worked amazingly once and then quit working.
UPDATE: I received a replacement. It worked slightly longer and then the entire side of it just cracked off. I don't see that I can return it anymore. . It's a great concept but manufacturing is garbage.
Poor quality - broke after first use

Effectiveness: Average. Although this product did not remove all wrinkles, there was a noticeable improvement. Product seemed to perform as advertised.
Quality: Cheap material and poor construction. Product broke (literally fell apart) after first use (about 8 shirts). Item was promptly returned.
It appeared that I had received a returned item. It was obvious that the packaging had been previously opened and the plastic wrap on the product had clearly been re-applied. This got me wondering whether or not I may have recieved a refurbished item ...
Ergonomics: Poor design makes this product VERY diffucult to use. As a right handed person I found myself accidentally pressing the on/off/temperature selection button frequently during use. Plastic components overheat during use making the product difficult to handle without getting burned. These significant design flaws make the product nearly unusable.
Although the concept is genius, execution is severely lacking. I would not recommend this item to anyone.
Perfect solution for curled collars

I had been using my daughter's hair straightener to press my shirt collars. When I ruined one of my shirts because of some melted crap she got on the straightener, I thought it was time to get my own. I use it mainly to straighten out curled collar corners but it works well on the entire collar. I've not used it as an iron but for what I wanted it to do, it is perfect.
Love the concept of a light travel size iron but ...

Iron kept snagging my clothes! Snagged on 1.)The hot face of the iron had several rough pin hole sized lifts in it, so I could only use one side of the iron. 2.) plastic bits around edges of the hot place were crudely shaped. If the material i was ironing was not completely flat around the iron it would catch. Love the concept of a light travel size iron but seems poorly made.

When I took out from the box, one of the flap just disintegrate into pieces.
The screw is all over the place and the cables just hanging disconnected. It seems that the plastic body is to thin and fragile to hold the screw.
Don't know how to fixed this and straight to trash can.
Total rubbish product.
Please take down this product from your listing. So no one else will be disappointed with this junk.
Not even deserve for 1 star.
Does what it's designed for

This takes a bit of practice to use, and is kind of awkward until you get used to it, but it does what it's designed for, and that's ironing collars and hems. It beats getting the ironing board out just to do a quick once over on the collar and button strip of your shirt. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because I think it's too expensive for what you get.

Very handy in keeping collars straight. A little awkward to use but usable. Easier and quicker than getting regular iron and ironing board out just to flatten a wrinkled collar.

I was excited about this ingenious iron and bought it for a friend for Christmas. Alas, it came apart the first time she tried to use it. Worse, I shopped early, so it broke outside my return window.
