Good idea, poor execution

Seemed like a great idea at the time, my only initial hesitation is the price, which seems to high. Now, just days after installing, the adhesive has shifted and the magnets continue to shift. Now the area around the magnets is all sticky and they still continue to slide. At some point I'll pull them off, clean the adhesive, and then glue them back in place. But it feels like I shouldn't have to do that. And the cleanup will take some time that I don't want to spend. It would have been better if they shipped the magnets without adhesive and directions for superglue.

I originally thought this was a bit ridiculous, but all the other key organizer had "not great" reviews so I decided to give it a try. These little magnets are awesome. I'm pretty into my keychain EDC and the magnets not only hold my 4 keys in place but they are also powerful enough to keep my Gerber Dime and flashlight attached.

So no more fumbling or jingling. It's simple but it works. 5 Stars

These little magnets will change your life for the better. Only negative is that the adhesive only sticks well to smooth keys. On the rough or keys with raised letters I used a light coat of epoxy adhesive and it worked like a charm. I've been using these for a while and have purchased svral other sets for gifts and for other key sets I have. Definitely recommend to anyone.

While the adhesive does have issues on some keys after awhile, this can be remedied with a stronger adhesive like super-glue. Yes, be cautious there, but I've super glued them and removed a couple to see the damage, and the dried out residue was easy enough to shave off with an X-acto knife, without damaging the key.

Tips:
- Before adhering, clean the heads of your keys. If you want to be thorough, first with toothpaste (seriously), then soap and water (cleans off toothpaste residue), then rubbing alcohol (leaves surface dry and sterile).
- Snap each magnet onto the head of a nail or screw for much better control when trying to position them onto your keys.

I would rate this five stars if the built on adhesive lasted. The final product is really fantastic otherwise.

The only other gripe I have is that these are definitely overpriced. These magnets are TINY and THIN, and you can get twice the amount of the same materials on Amazon for less than what they charge for these.

The loop ring is necessary (but still does not account for the price), because you need it's slightly wider-than-average diameter for more than a couple keys/magnets to stay parallel with each other. And it's a great loop ring -- if you're wondering, it doesn't feel too big at all.

UPDATE 4/15/16: After a few weeks of use, I've had another magnet fall off a key. So still average rating.
2nd Review: Item arrived as expected. Magnets are small but appear to be just strong enough to do what's it supposed to. Adhesive on 2 magnets have, after only one day, not stayed on keys.

It takes a good eye & finger dexterity to get the backing off of each magnet. Video I saw before I purchased shows a much better system & installation then product I ended up with. There is no room for error if you want to use all the magnets.

Word of caution: Make sure you get the magnets set pretty close to same spot on all keys, they will work much better if lined up on every key. This rating is probably closer to a 2, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt since I didn't do a perfect job on lining up the magnets on each key.

Suggestion to company; put better instructions with package & use stronger adhesive.

This product ended up really not working for me, unfortunately. The magnets are fairly strong, and effective in keeping your four keys grouped together (I have exactly four metal keys, so that was perfect). If your main issue is noise, this will definitely cut that significantly. My issue was not jingling, but rather that my keys were constantly disorganized and difficult to sort through. I was looking more to keep my keys compactly organized and easy to access. I keep my metal keys on a long lanyard along with my car key, a plastic-topped safe key, compass, and USB drive. They're usually stuck in a coat or backpack pocket along with my phone and wallet. (That raises another minor concern about whether or not these little magnets are enough to to throw off or damage anything.) I found that the magnets ended up sticking to the metal key rings and making everything difficult to get to. So, not an effective solution for me. However, if you carry a number of keys (especially on a belt or something similar) and only those keys, and would like them quiet and together, this could be the perfect solution.

I love this concept, but the adhesive is failing. I use a very small purse when going out that has no room for my keys inside so I clip them to the outside using a carabiner, but hate the jingling as I walk.

I meticulously attached the magnets to five keys so that everything was perfectly aligned but after about a month of use the magnets started sliding all over the keys. A few weeks after that the magnets started to detach from the keys. The way I have them arranged, the two outer keys are the ones I use most frequently, and this is where the magnets are detaching. I haven't lost a magnet yet because despite coming unstuck from the key itself, it stays attached to the next magnet in the row. I'll likely end up removing them, cleaning the surface, and superglueing them back on.

Also pretty irritating that I bought this Prime for $13.99 and now its listed as Prime $8.99.
