Cute concept and I was excited to use it. The stand is just that. A stand for a bowl to melt your chocolate. I do appreciate that they put a recipe with the box so your cookies don't fall apart

My son bought this with Christmas money and I helped make the cookie shots. Seeing other kits I would have chosen differently but my son did good. I questioned silicon but it made cookie extraction easier I think. The first batch (you get 12 shots per batch) we had a couple break on us. But once we got the hang of removing them from the mold we didn't break anymore. We also tackled it as a two person job: one to push the cookie gently out and another to catch.

Seeing other reviews we followed the recipe as closely as possible.

I wasn't crazy about having a special melting tool but the spout made it useful. Recommend you have a very liquid consistency when pouring. To be clear there isn't a need to put anything in the space under the melting dish. The instructions didn't explain this. (It's not a double boiler)
