Plant lithops seeds using conventional growing methods:

1. Mix equal parts of potting mix and perlite. Moisten the mix with water, and fill it into a pot with drainage holes, up to about 1/2 inch from the top.
2. Sprinkle the seeds over the soil. Cover them with a 1/8-inch layer of fine sand or crushed rock.
3. Fill a spray bottle with water and mist the soil with it. Try to keep the soil moist throughout the germination period. Cover the pot with plastic wrap or a glass pane to help promote the soil moisture retention.
4. Place the pot in a warm, sunlit area. Aim for a temperature of approximately 65 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Place a heating mat underneath the pot, if needed. Expect the seeds to germinate within about 10 to 15 days.
5. Transplant the seedlings to individual pots when the plants start to crowd and are big enough to handle. Place the pots in a sunny windowsill.

Lithops split. Any scarring is not permanent and will be shedded when they split! This is a natural process with Lithops, sometimes they just don't make it.
• Please AVOID prolonged exposure to Direct Sunlight in the afternoon hours, the high temp will COOK the seeds and any newly germinated seedlings. Please provide enough shade to keep the germination cup cool during the hottest part of the day.

Much to my pleasure, the package arrived several days earlier than indicated. I followed the instructions to the letter, not really believing such minuscule little things were seeds. Five days later, lo and behold, I saw through a magnifying glass, tiny green spots! They had started to germinate. In the package, as a bonus, came a baby Lithops. It too, after five days is showing signs of growing. I would certainly buy from this seller again, and wholeheartedly recommend her business.

I've been having loads of fun growing and enjoying succulents and cactus. When I saw this seed deal, I decided I had to have it. Packaged with great care and a personal note, I think it's a fabulous deal! I'm in the process of germinating the seeds now and will likely do an update once they sprout but I've got great hope! 😇�. If only there was a 6th star! I originally ordered both these seeds and a set of seedlings from this vendor. Both arrived in perfect shape and even included an extra baby plant. I didn't have any luck with my first round of germination(most likely from user error..) and the vendor couldn't have been more helpful in resolving my issues. All of my seedlings are doing amazing and I'm starting to see little green results after about 5 days with this germination attempt. All in all wonderful plants and customer service = A+

I've ordered lithops seeds from numerous vendors. In one case a few germinated and then died (my fault? - maybe). Most vendors seeds never germinated. Some most certainly were NOT lithops seeds.

This is a vendor that you can trust. The seeds come in a tiny vial instead of a plastic bag. The directions for two different ways of planting and germinating the seeds are complete and very clear. The kit includes a germinating container, pipette, cotton, the seeds in a plastic vial, and directions. Most/all of my seeds germinated (I used the germination chamber) and it was easy to (carefully) transplant them to a pot. They are now happily growing.

Awesome seeds. I'm at about 85% germination, a month in. I'm expecting them all to germinate. Great vendor, great kit, great support....don't actually need to buy again! And these little guys are killer cute when they germinate. Miniature versions of the adults. Really cute.

Don't overwater!

So awesome! The received live plant is very young, likely only a year or so old, and came bare-root. Re-potted him immediately and he's been doing very well. The seeds are SO tiny and came in a centrifuge tube along with a little kit. One day in and they're germinating fantastically! No green yet but I can see there's been some change (thank you macro lense). As far as the live plant goes I can tell that this is considered a "soft succulent" which are considerably more sensitive to overwatering than your regular echeveria types. I'm talking like every 3 weeks ish during growing season. Oh, also due to the relatively young age of the live plant it's still slightly green. But time and love will go a long way. Thank you so much for these seeds!
