Modified it a little to wrap around a corner in my garage. These are some very stout shelving units. I wouldbhighly recommend them.

Went together pretty easily. The additional hooks are a bonus, but I didn't realize I could have bought this exact same setup without the hooks for $155. So I'm taking a star for not having that option. I paid $189 for the 4x8' with 2 L ladder hooks and 4 C style hooks. Had I known, I'd not have bought it with the hooks or bought the hooks later. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and the amount of storage it holds. Just FYI on the hook part. You can buy this exact model $34 dollars cheaper without the hooks.

Solidly Built

I like the way these are built. Solid. It takes time to find studs in the ceiling and measure out where to mount the brackets but that is truly the hardest and most time consuming part of the install. After that installation was a breeze. Set aside a few hours to have it completed. This thing can hold a lot of weight and I highly recommend to free up floor space in your garage or storage room. Recommend.

Bought 2 of these racks after reading reviews here and on some home improvement store sites. These are very nice racks and, once you get the hang of it, easy to install (2 people required to mount the platforms to the supports). My wife is happy too, both vehicles now fit in the garage! Am able to hang most of my large gear (blower, weed whacker, sawzall, paddles, ladders, bikes etc) from the hooks (bought 3 additional sets). Would definitely buy again.

I got this rack because my neighbor used several in his garage and liked them. They are a great storage option that gets things up off the ground and out of the way. It does take some doing to install them because you need to make sure you are drilling the rack into the studs of the garage ceiling. It took about 3 hours to install one rack in our garage with 2 people - one of which had previously installed 3 of these racks. But once it's up, its wonderful and very sturdy. It holds a ton of stuff.

I really liked the quality of the material used for the rack. The screws provided to mount the ceiling mounts were really good quality. Overall I'm really satisfied with the quality of the product. Installation was very simple and can be done by one person. Having another person help will make mounting the rack easier though. The only part that I found time consuming was measuring, finding joists and marking attachment points in the ceiling and that's because I didn't have the right tools. But, that's not a fault of the product :). I'd surely but their products again and the after sales service was fantastic when I had to order a few replacement parts.

Good Value, Instuctions are a bit Vague

This is a very good unit for the price. I just wish the support arms were a little thicker - when I'm pulling/putting things on the shelf I'm worried by the amount of sway.

In my opinion, after doing this installation, anyone who breaks the lag bolts during installation doesn't know how to drill a pilot hole and drive home a screw. That was a concern based on other reviews, but the screws are better quality than expected.

The installation instructions were a little vague, but the storage capacity is as expected and the unit pieces were fairly easy to assemble.

Our issue was that we wanted to run the supports in the same direction as the joists, which is why I used 2x6 boards - it did not help that our joists were not 24" apart, and also ran crooked in respect to the parallel wall.

Overall happy, and the customer support was oustanding - they did not pack the hooks in the unit I received, but I emailed the seller and had a separate shipment sent to me within 4 days.

I like how it looks. Easy to install if you have the right recommended tools. Review some install videos online if you commit to do it yourself. You may need a second hand to mount the assemble bed.

won't work with 24" joist spacing

This system will not work with 24" joist/truss spacing. the ceiling brackets are 20 1/2 inches long. the company should tell you that. very disappointed.

Also missing all the upper connecting parts. Going to take a week to get missing parts shipped. Funny that the order arrived in 2 days via prime, but missing parts take 5 business days.
