This knife comes with a razor sharp blade and is very solid. It flips out with little effort and has an intimidating click when the blade flips out. Amazing knife definitely worth it.

Unfortunate Review
by Frank (2 out of 5 stars)

I am a volunteer firefighter. In many instances, when I'm on duty, I need to utilize tools quickly and efficiently. Recently, I lost a very good quality knife in a fire, and was determined to find another working man's knife that satisfied my criteria of a sharp, one-handed, assisted opening knife that was not a wallet buster, or that I would be heartbroken if lost in the line of duty. In TEK Spring assisted opening heavy duty Folding knife, and the TAC FORCE spring assisted open Sawback Bowieknife, I thought I had found that combination. But, was very disappointed to find that the "heavy duty" spring assist for both knives didn't even come close to opening the knives part way. They are good looking knives, and once sharpened, will perform their purpose of cutting. But, due to poor spring assisted, neither knife really performs as promised, nor as expected. I was very disappointed

TAC-FORCE is a force to recon with

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite knives. In fact, the brand Tac-Force is has many high end knives at a ridiculously low cost. I have knives I paid over a hundred for that now stay at home while my tac force knives go with me everywhere. I have one for work, casual, defense....well I have enough lol. Anyway, this knife is very well made with a "tight" feel. No play at all. The assisted open is excellent, and the blade lock is also fantastic. I personally think this knife looks awesome. Good mix of black and aluminum. They come very sharp too. Honestly I have nothing bad to say, and that's very hard to do. Good job tac-force, keep making these knives because you are doing it right!

This has been my daily carry knife for about 4 months now, and I love it. It's a little longer than a typical pocket knife, but I'm a big guy with somewhat larger hands and it fits me perfectly. I love the look of it and it is well built, sturdy, and comes sharp. The only downside is the handle is a little slick as it is made of (I think) aluminum. However, I've gotten used to it and for what I use it for it is amazing. Plus the price is right! Definitely recommend.

The "window breaker" broke on the very 1st use.

The "window breaker" broke on the very 1st use. The knife itself is nice and comes somewhat sharp. I've read that the other screws easily come off after a few weeks so we'll see.

Great Quality Knife

There are so many knives on amazon and most of them are cheap plastic ones ranging from $8-$15 that fall appart. This is a good quality knife. Its solid and a bit heavy, really good looking and comes pretty sharp. handle feels a bit greasy at first because it is new but overall its a great knife.

Re-rating this knife

The Clip (Pocket Clip) is upside down. That requires pulling the knife off of the belt with a pinch grip and then turning the knife so that either the thumb studs or flipper can be accessed. I will say this in favor of this knife and that is that it opens first time every time and has never failed to do so... I keep it as a back up... This would be an excellent knife if you turn the pocket clip right side up.

This is a great knife came so sharp out of the box I could shave the hair on my arms, plus good forward thinking on have a few strategic holes on the blade to secure it to a pole or something to have a make shift spear? This will be the knife I attache to my firefighting turnout coat cause it has all the features you will ever need !!

Locking mechanism could be faulty - potential for injury
by Wyn (2 out of 5 stars)
December 22, 2018

This knife has good weight and feel but one very concerning potential safety malfunction. You can see from my picture how the locking mechanism is barely in place. That's after open the knife fully and the mechanism not clicking into place. I had to force it over the first time. Subsequent attempts had it locking into place as shown in the picture. Hope it is a defect in my knife only and not more widespread.

Laborious to use
by Just Jon (2 out of 5 stars)

I like the blade on this knife. Dig the style of that part. But it's laborious to open and close.

With this style of knife, I'm used to knives that will open in one quick motion with just the flick of a finger against the little metal notch that swings the blade open. Often, with these style of knives, when it opens too slowly and too difficultly, it's because it's screwed too tight. But I don't think that's the case here, because it seems that there's just not enough room for the metal tab to slide over when the blade is opened.

It takes a lot of force on the notch to get it going, and even if I do get the blade to swing all the way into position, it usually doesn't even "lock" into its open position, because the bottom of the blade seems to extend too long to allow the metal tab to slide over to keep it locked in the open position. It takes too much effort to get it locked open so its safe to use.

Maybe this brand (TAC FORCE) just makes knives that take more effort to open and close, or maybe the issue with mine is a fluke? I dunno. I only spent 8 bucks on it, so I'm not too worried. But, despite loving the blade itself, it's not one of the better knife purchases I've made. Ah well.
