I read the other review before buying and realized the majority of low star ratings were due to people trying to get the silly string in without using it all. It turns out if you try to connect the red top/ shooter piece to the can it just constantly presses the top and you run out of string.

What I did was remove the black cap on the top of the silly string, connect the red shooter top to the can then put the black cap back on.

The can still goes really fast (20 mins instead of 2) so make sure to order the refill or just use the water when it runs out.

Buyer Beware... Ruined Birthday

If I could give this product no stars that would be my rating! All my child wanted for their birthday was a Spider-Man costume and this Web Slinger and what a disappointment.. This is what we identified in the first 5 minutes of use:
1. Hard to assemble and the foam shoots out when you're trying to put the top piece on. Ended up all over the ceiling.
2. Product does not stay on the arm well and the piece to shoot is so long that a child can not use their fingers to apply the pressure.
3. Product that attaches to the foam bottle is hard to get on and then hard to get off.
4. There's not enough foam in the bottle to last more than a couple of minutes
5. When trying to use the water bottle it was leaking all over her arm. Yes this was for my tomboy daughter.
6. She ended up having to take the bottle of the foam off the apparatus and just basically spray it.
7. Lots of tears!!!!!!

As cool as this looks for a kid it's absolutely the worst product I think I have ever purchased for my child....

Canister doesn't last long but also wastes the silly string

I wanted to get my son a plain pair of gloves for his costume, but he had his heart set on this one. I set the expectation that the silly string would run out quickly and that we would not be replacing it after looking at other reviews. He understood and wanted to ration it, but after a light tap- not depressed, the lever bumped it and flipped away, which I know because I was holding at the time rather than my kid- at least half the can sprayed out before it stopped. He was able to get a couple short squirts out of it after that, but it's pretty disappointing. The water container does work and was easy for a six year old to figure out without any help.

Badlt designed does not work

Awful - my son cried as it simple does not work. You have to shake the can to make the string come out long and that is not possible when it is strapped to your arm! It just comes out in a miserable glob otherwise. My son was so excited about this and then very sad. Dont buy! It is alao overpriced.

Was a Christmas gift 🎁 for my grandson hasn't used it yet cause the weather outside is cold waiting for the warmer weather to come, so he can try it out. But he is happy 😃 he got it and eager to use it.

Useless, impractical garbage

2 stars because I don't "hate it", but it's almost unusable for a child. If it had cost $5 I'd give a different review, but for the price there is not a snowballs chance in heck i'd ever purchase this again.

First off, the functionality is simply not there. The product is unsturdy--meaning when you have the item attached as it should be, depressing the lever moves the full arm band more than it does press the necessary mechanism to shoot water/spray. Even as an adult, there was not enough strong leverage without hold the back base (nearest the elbow) to create an effective spray. Complete failure on this technical aspect

Secondly, for the age this doesnt work, as the lever is way too long for smaller people to use. It fits me (an adult) appropriately. The spray bottle goes all the way up to my childs elbow covering the whole forearm

Lastly, it's rubbish that refills are so expensive. Branded or not, silly string doesnt cost +5 dollars a can.

Final review...complete garbage, don't waste your time, money or efforts. And most importantly don't get your childs hopes up because they will be disappointed.

The "string" cannister doesn't attach the way it's supposed to and every time I try it shoots the string everywhere uncontrollably... it's in pieces since Christmas and useless to us.

Was very cheaply made...fell apart upon light use and the webbing aresol can jammed and would not work after only a couple of shots. Shipping and customer service was timely and great product is just really cheaply made. Looks better in pictures than the physical product.

This was used for a last minute Spider-Man halloween costume. Thought it would add a little extra fun at the costume party. Didn't expect it would work all night, just maybe once or twice for effect. Didn't even get that far. I successfully managed to fasten the holder and can to my arm to test it at home SOMEHOW, despite the strap being not very large/thick. Tested it to make sure the trigger actually sprayed the silly-string and got a little squirt out of it. OK. Then made my way to the party.

I actually stopped by a friends apartment first, and while talking to his extremely cool wife, I decided to shoot the "webbing" and see what she thought. At first she was delighted, but I could tell pretty quick something was off when she started pulling the silly string off. She was wearing a white shirt, so when the blue silly string landed on her, it left a blue STAIN on her shirt. Did I mention she's very cool? Yea, lucky for me. I know a lot of people that would have been quite upset.

So I very quickly ditched the idea of using it at the party. Idk why this is market towards kids, they will literally spray anything with silly string. I guess the makers don't care if their product stains peoples clothes, furniture, or other fabrics. Oh well.

Love these, but my wife hates me when I jump out and scare her and spray her down!
