Very deserving of a five star review. We have found these silicone bagel molds to be of very high quality. The design is absolutely genius. The silicone stays cool to the touch, making it easy and safe to hold the bagels in simmering water prior to topping and then baking them right on the molds. Water drains off quickly through the bottom perforations that also enable even browning when they bake. I've had no problems washing mine in the top rack of the dishwasher. A small bonus is that they make me smile whenever I use them because they look like witches' hats. 🙂 My husband and I look forward to getting many years of happy use from these sturdy but flexible forms. We've been having a lot of fun making all kinds of bagels together, some of which have been what you might call "creative." 😁 (The photo is of a mixed batch of seeded and cinnamon baking in our new Breville Smart Oven Air.)

I've made several batches of bagels with this mold. The molds make the process much easier, but the process still takes some practise. I use all-purpose flour rather than the recommended bread flour for a more authentic, chewier bagel.

These work fairly well although it still takes some practice to make picture perfect bagels. Folks that complain about bagels sticking didn't read the directions which clearly state that the first few bakes the molds need to be greased (sprayed with canola in my case). If you do that that they not only don't stick but they float to the top during boiling which is less than optimal. One warning--the times listed in the recipe are shall we say "optimistic." I was using a special proofing box set to 85F and my times were at least double what was listed in the recipe. For me one of the attractions is the recipe size--6 bagels is plenty for us since they don't really keep well.

These bagel makers are AWESOME! I prepared my rustic bread recipe and cut the dough into six equal pieces. Rolled the dough on the counter into a ball and pushed it down over the tower. I let them rise again and popped them in the oven at 400 and they came out GORGEOUS! I just ordered another set of six. I'll try the bagel recipe but if I never do it won't matter because these turned out AMAZING.

I've been baking bagels for a few years and had inconsistent success. I've used these a couple of times now and get perfectly shaped, well-risen bagels. The product makes handling the bagels during the process very easy. Clean up is a breeze.

I love these molds as they do allow the bagel dough to rise and keep the inner circle/hole. However, after baking them I find that the bottoms of the bagels are stuck to the bagel maker and the bottom of the bagels tear a little getting them off the mold.. Does anyone else have this problem? I worried about letting them cool while still on the molds. I'm afraid I wouldn't get them off.

I used these for the first time today to make bagel-shaped German soft pretzels. The second snapshot is of the top and bottom of the pretzels once they're off the form. I've been making these pretzels for years. They get a 15-20 second bath in a weak lye solution before going onto the baking tray. While they're in the simmering lye solution, the raw pretzels actually float off the form, so baking the round formed pretzels without the form is another option which I'll try another time.
These work just as promised and make it easy to form bagels without any effort

These work just as promised and make it easy to form bagels without any effort. But I tried the bagel recipe that came with them and found it was more like a sweet bread and not at all like a bagel.
The forms are great. You can submerge them in boiling water and then put them in the oven. Bagels slide right off after they're baked. But I wholeheartedly recommend that you use a different bagel recipe and follow those instructions rather than the one that comes in the box with them.
Good if your looking for easy.

Not what I was hoping for. The bottom didn't brown well. And the hole size it too big. Plus it just doesn't stay under the water when boiling. The mold and all floats. So the top didn't boil. If your looking to make bagels easily, this is for you. But there is nothing authentic or quality about the bagels you produce. Making them by hand is just better.

These bagel makers are really remarkable. Lekue is an outstanding product. Included are recipes for making incredible bagels. This is the way a bagel should be made. Follow the directions and you will achieve success. The forms are easy to use. You can freeze the bagels if you chose to after cooking.
