Creating a great atmossphere

This thing really works and it produces a beautiful and big ice ball as promised. I got the golden one and it looks great too. The press already impressed a friend of mine so much that he is getting one too, as soon as they are available again. I usually drink my whisky neat, but this summer has been so hot that I need to cool down a bit and the huge ice ball does this better than ice cubes by melting more slowly, and looking really cool too.

At room temperature over 20 C it produces the first ice ball quite quickly, but it works faster if you just hold it under running hot tap water for a few seconds to absorb some extra heat. It gets freezing cold while producing the ice ball, so you should use hot water quickly between each ball to keep it working quickly. If this is done it produces a beautiful ice ball in 30 to 60 sec.

The ice ball itself actually adds a bit of atmossphere ;) to having a drink.
(I think I would have named the product "The atmossphere" or similar)

Any negative remarks? Well. The water that is drained from the press needs to be collected by a tray or similar. I think it would be great to supply a matching tray or a little platform with the press, but that will also raise the prize off course.

This thing makes ice balls as advertised. After making 50 balls now, I do notice I have to warm the thing up after each ball otherwise it will not melt the next one completely. But completely satisfied.

Had purchased the silver one for my older brother as an Xmas gift. Hands down perfect. Although Whiskey Co is 3 times the price, this is just as effective and more sleek. Takes up less space. As noted, you can run this under warm water beforehand or if serving multiple guests. Both my BF and brother were thrilled.....it is the hit of every gentlemen gathering.

Amazing!!! Why spend $500 on the others. The difference is that you may end up with a tiny nub on the bottom since it does not have a pressure release, but worth the $400 difference. Nothing like a poured sphere nub.

Bought as a gift for my son-in-law. He says it is the real deal. Makes a large ice sphere that fills the bottom of a whiskey glass, stays frozen through several drinks.

A great way to form spherical ice for drinks. We decided to spring for this style after striking out using the cheap trays. which leaked and formed hemispheres. We love it.

Love this thing. It's fun to have the clear balls for friends when they come over. I bought separately a clear slug maker to make the balls crystal clear.
