Worth Buying If It Interests You

This moon lamp is quite nice when it is lit up. It has two different light colors which is a plus. Furthermore, being able to change the brightness for each of the color modes is really well thought of, especially because it only uses one button and it is a tap/touch button. You can either tap the button to switch between the two colors and turning the light off, or tap and hold the button to dim the light for each of the color modes. And there are many brightness choices, not just one or two as you might expect. One simple little button, yet it is easy to use, it has a quick response time, and it being a touch button is simply a very neat feature in itself.

There is also a small charging port on the bottom of the lamp by the button because this lamp does not use batteries. It does not need to be plugged in for the light to work but the light and the button will still work if the lamp is plugged in and charging. Be aware that only a USB cable is included, not a wall connector that the USB cable can plug into to charge from a standard electrical outlet. The moon lamp doesn't get hot or warm when it is charging or when its light is on. Also be aware that the lamp is not a full circle; it has a bottom which is flat so that it can support itself on a flat surface and it also serves to be the spot where both the button and the charging port is located, but this flat area isn't very large and intrusive.

I am pleased with this purchase but there are some negatives for this product. It is textured with quite a low quality/resolution 3D print. The dips and humps on this lamp replicating the actual Moon's surface, have a blurry and uncrisp look to them, which is not what I was expecting. Also, when the moon lamp's light is not turned on, the lamp is a bland white color and just looks like a bumpy and uninteresting styrofoam ball (although it is not made of styrofoam). It would be nicer if it was grey colored and if it had a higher quality/resolution to its textures because when it is not lit, it does not resemble the Moon. It's hard to make out its features and realize that it is supposed to be the Moon; though it does look good when lit up, especially when it is in a dark area. So beside the few negatives mentioned, it is a nice and an enjoyable little moon lamp.

I wasn't exactly sure what this was going to be like, but it sounded intriguing, so I ordered it. I received it earlier than expected.

I opened the box and found the Huluwa Night Light PLDM 3D Printing Moon Lamp Lunar USB Charging Night Light & a USB charging cable. There are no instructions but it's pretty simple. On the bottom of the base there is only a socket for the charging cable to plug in to & a small silver disc. The socket is pretty much self explanatory. The silver disc, on the other hand, is the touch sensitive switch. Hold a finger on it and it causes the brightness to go up or down. If you take your finger off the disc then touch it again, the brightness goes the opposite direction. It's pretty cool.

The light works perfectly as a night light. It lasts about 2hrs at full brightness, which is way to bright as a night light. At night light level, just a lightly glowing orb over in the corner, it seems to last forever. I love it!!! It takes about 90 minutes to fully charge from completely dead. I highly recommend The Huluwa Night Light PLDM 3D Printing Moon Lamp Lunar USB Charging Night Light & a USB charging cable would make a great gift.

I received something else entirely.

There's no button (that's just a tiny nail).

It's not micro-USB.

When I plug it in, it just blinks a faint red. Not yellow or white. It also rattles.

Doesn't seem to be a way to make it light up without plugging it in. Wasn't this supposed to be battery-powered and have a button?

The 3D print is also just really low-quality/low-resolution in general.

Can't open it up to service it or check if something's broken.

I'd like to say that this moon light is the best ...

I've had two iterations of this product and have thought of writing this review for some time. First of all, I'd like to say that this moon light is the best option on the market - that I know - and I was very excited to have it and take good care of it.

That being said, I have little to no trust in the integrity of the product or the company's ability to honor an appropriate RETURN POLICY; so I advise you note which date you have to return this product by. The first Huluwa light I purchased ended up losing the orange light function - so I could only use the normal white light. A couple of weeks later, the charger attachment inside the moon managed to come loose (never hit it or damaged it) which meant it was useless as I could not charge it. Returned that light and received an updated version. Round two! After a few months of owning this new light, the charging port inside the light became misaligned and I could not insert the charging cable. Ended up bending the charging connection slightly, which caused a short, and now my Huluwa moon light is having a blinking seizure!

So these are all small details most wouldn't take the time to share but what makes this whole situation worse is that HaloVa has revised their return policy so they have just enough time for your light to break! Good luck unwary consumers.

Not what I expected.. based on answered questions and reviews, there is supposed to be a small metal disc at the base near the charging port to turn it on / change the brightness. Mine dod not come with this (see photos), so it's effectively useless. It flickers when charging which would be annoying to use for my child. When its not charging, itll randomly turn itself pn and flickers all the different colors and will not stop!! What a piece of junk... very dissapointed!

I bought one of these for myself as a portable sort of nightlight, as my bed is nowhere near a lamp-accessible outlet. I. Love. It. By day, it's just a little plastic moon. You can see the rings from the 3D printing process, but it's still pretty cool. By night, it looks just like the picture. Perfect detail. It can be dimmed by touch, and the brightest setting is pretty high. It doesn't heat up (even when I fall asleep and forget to turn it off), and has only needed charging twice in a month of frequent use. I prefer the warm/yellow light, but the cool/blue setting is also lovely, and the stand makes it a perfect addition to a bookcase or side table. Bought one for my mom for her birthday, and plan to buy more for Christmas.

***Update: after two months if light use item no longer charges or lights up. i thought it would light up with the charger attached; it does not light up while cord is attached. It also becomes very dim after 2-3 hours of use. Takes several hours to fully charge. IDK, would be better if it was able to light up while plugged in, rather than forcing me to try and remember to charge it for 4 hours before every use. Bummer.

It's smaller than I expected. It doesn't stay sitting on the flat side very well. It likes to roll easily. The worst part is that the battery life is really short. It lasts about 6 hours on a full charge. I wanted to use this as my nightlight for my bathroom, but it doesn't stay charged throughout the whole night. I do like that it has two different light functions: white & yellow. I like to use the white, and though it is not very bright..it is bright enough that I can see to not bump into the counter in the pitch black bathroom. I would not buy this for the $25 I spent.. I'd say its worth more like $15.

This actually looks like the moon

This actually looks like the moon, and has texture like the craters on the moon. It feels more like rubber over plastic. You can hold the metal plate to get the desired brightness you are looking for as well as change between different color options, like a bright white, or a more yellow option. It uses a usb, so you can plug it in when it dies and it holds a decent charge.

I was very hesitant to buy this, but it's actually very good! The moon looks great both turned on and off. It doesn't look cheap or poorly made. The stand isn't fancy, but it still looks nice. The moon feels like 3D printed plastic (which is no surprise), but it's sturdy.

The white setting looks like the moon as seen from space or from Earth in the middle of a clear night. The yellow setting is gorgeous and looks like the moon during moon rise. The control can be a little figgity, but nothing too bad. The 3.9in version is about the size of a softball (big ball used in softball). Overall, the product looks and feels great! It's really fun to have a copy of the moon in your hands!
