Size Matters!

I bought the original size for my daughter's bunk bed and it fits her MacBook Air or her IPad just fine. She likes being able to have some place to put a drink and her phone - especially on the top bunk. All good.

However, it wasn't large enough to handle my really big, company-issued Dell. Until NOW! I was excited to see they added a larger one.

I'm super pleased that I got the natural color, Its pretty and I prefer it ti the white. Immediately I could see it was made well and didn't feel like a cheap knock off. Just as easy to put on and the third clamp reinforces its attachment and gives it additional stability.

Yes! My big-*ss computer fits, along with my remote and Kombucha :)

Living in a small NYC apartment, I don't have room for two bedside tables. So I moved it to the far side of the bed to see how it worked and am I am now afraid the BF is going to steal it.

Suggestion: Sell a discounted multipack? Or allow us to mix and match for our needs. Might need a third.

The BedShelfie was the perfect addition to my son's new bedroom set. It is solid, good looking and a perfect match for his loft bed.

It hit the Goldilock's sweet spot. It wasn't like those cheap, plasticky versions that one finds in bed and bath stores, nor was it like those prohibitively expensive, solid wood, floating bed side tables.

I am also impressed by Chris's involvement in the transaction. This is a someone whose business I want to support. His enthusiasm is infectious and you can clearly see that he is passionate about his product.

I can assure you this review is real*. I am Canadian and will do everything in my power to order only from Amazon Canada because I hate having to pay the exchange rate and the shipping - our Prime doesn't extend to US purchases.

But...I was willing to shell out for this and it was worth every penny.
*I don't trust Amazon reviews anymore, so I am always suspicious of anyone who sounds over the top (like I do in this review - but I sincerely, totally, really mean it.. I even included pictures which I have never done before!).

At first, I was going to try to find something inexpensive but after looking at everything and reading all of the reviews I ordered this product for my son's dorm room. It arrived well packaged and even better than I had hoped. The quality of the product is exceptional, very well built and super easy to install. My son was confident about putting his expensive notebook on it even though the shelf is on the highest part of his loft. The shelf is very solid and looks great.

I like the bamboo Shelfie as opposed to other similar products made of plastic (I admit to buying another, cheaper, plastic version and not liking it at all so I returned it). I am actually using this as a side table on the arm chair of the captain's chair in my RV. The clamp is very large and easily handles wide frames (or in my case, the 2" arm of a chair), but is also padded so it minimizes damage when clamped down. Admittedly, my experience with it in the RV is still limited, but it seems sturdy enough to hold a light meal while driving (not sure I would put a heavy drink on it as the table tends to tip and without a cup holder is more likely to spill anyway). It's a little on the pricier side, but seems well constructed of good materials.

This clamp on bed shelf is wonderfully designed. Quite handsome looking, working with any sort of bed that has a flat surface to grab on to. It has clamps at the bottom, out of sight, rubber tipped so that they grip but don't mar, and they screw into position to clamp as tightly as you can. I use mine for holding my alarm clock, remote and a notepad for those middle of the night bright ideas, but it seems sturdy enough to hold much heavier things. It has a small lip useful for keeping things from rolling off, especially if you use it on an upper bunk or loft bed. It's real wood, nicely grained. I plan to use it forever.

Good Product, Great Service

I selected the BedShelfie over other products offered by amazon because I thought it's wood construction would be sturdier. Also, from the product pictures it looked like the mounting brackets would be heavy-duty. Upon receipt of the product I saw that indeed the mounting brackets are heavy-duty and should last for years. The hardware is sturdy with thick felt pads. Unfortunately for me a couple of areas of the BedShelfie were damaged and some of the white finish had rubbed off. I initially thought of sending it back to Amazon but instead I reached out to Chris at BedShelfie using an email address that was included on a card enclosed with the product. I mentioned the issues with the product in the email and Chris got back to me within an hour to ask follow up questions. He shipped me a new BedShelfie the same day. What service! I'm very impressed with the way Chris handled the situation. The second BedShelfie arrived in good condition.

I bought the BedShelfie Plus because my woman took the side of the bed with a night stand... anyway, this bedside table is awesome... the only thing I think would make for a nice upgrade is to have an option where the lower part that conceals the clamps cover more. It is not a big deal but would just be slightly more aesthetically appealing. I almost gave it 4 stars for that but realized it is so miniscule compared to the build and appearance of the shelf. The Bedshelfie is very strong and has held quite a bit of weight (i tested it with more weight than I will ever have on it). I mostly just place my phone with the wireless charger, a tablet with a 9.7in screen and water. The indents in the side rails are perfect for charger wires to sit in. All-in-all, very nice stand with plenty of strength and room and a very nice purchase!

This is a great product. My daugher has an ikea bed with drawers underneath so she can't have a nightstand as it will prevent her from being able to open the drawers. This is the perfect solution. Extremely sturdy. the only modification we had to make was, only one side of the clamp had a felt protector, so we had to affix some fabric to the other side of the clamp to protect the finish on the bed.

I purchased two of the larger-sized Bed Shelfies (the Bed Shelfie Plus) for my sons who were going away to college for the first time this fall. Both colleges had the majority of their dorm beds lofted, so I wanted the boys to have a place for their alarm clocks and to set their phones or a drinks etc. I selected the Bed Shelfie because, from reading reviews, Bed Shelfie seemed to have the best clamping mechanism and also because Bed Shelfie offered the larger sized shelf, which the others did not. Also, Bed Shelfie seemed to be the original, or at least one of the originals -- the product the others were trying to copy. The Bed Shelfies arrived promptly, were well packed, and looked great and very well made.

To be honest, my sons scoffed at me for buying the Bed Shelfies when they first arrived looking much like flat pieces of wood. My sons frequently teased me in the weeks leading up to dropping them off at school that I was buying too much stuff for their dorms -- most of which was stuff they were sure they would never need. They put the Bed Shelfies in that same category. However, upon arriving at the dorm room for my first son, he changed his tune almost immediately. He took one look at that bed and almost instantly began asking where "that bed shelf thing" went. He tore through all the stuff we'd brought until he found it and immediately put it up. It was so simple to install that he did it himself without any guidance or help from his father. He also announced that I had been right and that he had been wrong, and that the bed shelf was the best thing I'd bought! Music to a mother's ears. When we moved his brother in to his own dorm later that week, he was similarly happy with his shelf. My first son had a bed that had no real headboard or footboard and no railings other than the ones holding the springs in place which were more or less bent in an "L" shape. Nevertheless, my son was still able to clamp the Bed Shelfie to that railing and it worked perfectly. The other boy had a headboard and we clamped the shelf to that. It worked perfectly there as well. The large shelf may be a little pricy but I'd say it was worth it. The only thing I did not like was the color choice of the Plus sized shelves. All of the colors seemed geared to girls' rooms. There were no dark colors like black or navy, which is what most boys want. In the end, I went with the natural color, but would have preferred black. Still, this is a great product, a great idea and I am telling my friends all about it.
