If you want a fun novelty item to give a frat kid or birthday gift, this is it. Also, keep in mind that the shot "glasses" are aluminum. It's a fun thing to bring to a party but it's pretty cheap to be honest. The cork boat is light but not very aesthetically pleasing and the aluminum is much of them same. Otherwise, a fun novel item for a casual party

This is floating shot glass holder that looks like a steamer. It's made from cork so it floats in the pool or bathtub. The shot glasses are made of aluminum so they are thin but they don't effect the taste of the shots. This is not very practical for the pool as it isn't all that sturdy in wavy waters, but it's fun in the bathtub for a romantic bath with your partner. Plus it's a nice gift for someone going on a cruise, or to announce a cruise (say you are surprising a loved one with a cruise).

My sister in law is going on a cruise for her 50th birthday. To celebrate, we thought we would give her a few bottles of her favorite liquor and a fun way to drink it. This went over very well!
She used it as a flight tasting for different brands of tequila and whisky. We also used it as a party platter of sorts, pouring all of the same liquor for everyone to have a shot. Fun to display as well.

I'm not really a party shot person .but not only is the a cute accessory for those who are, the metal shot glasses are.durable and just the right size for hot sauce, cocktail .sause and other condiments. The cork.boat will float but also.looks great on a table I have a sushi boat server and boat shaped fried fish baskets and will use this either for seasoningsauzes sauses and maybe even for beverage or mini desert shots.
Cute, but could be better

I just love Fred & Friends fun household items! They're always a great conversation piece, for sure. This is just adorable, and the cork boat floats well in the pool or hot tub! I'm just a little iffy over the quality of the metal shot glasses. We've got a few sets of stainless steel shooters, and they're such a better quality feel. But, the cute factor wins with these, so if you're ok with that, go for them!

The metal shot glasses are thin. Thin enough that I think I could easily bend them with almost zero effort. The cork boat that holds the flight will work great in my pool. The cork boat seems well made. The glasses are one piece aluminum that hold just a shot. I have had a shot out of a lot worse. Like the bottle that everyone else drank from. Oh the old days.
Pricey for Made in China.

These shot glasses stand 2.25" tall X 1.25" across at the top. Though it shows that the pressed cork boat flats, I would not want to place it in water, as it could very easily tip-over. The boat is about 10" long. It's Made in China, so I think the current price of twenty-five bucks is crazy expensive. It's kind of a fun item, but nothing super special.
Better As Toy

It really does look like a steam ship. The cork floats and the metal shot glasses look like smoke stacks. but I for one sdo not like the metallic taste imparted by the metal glasses. The whole package looks and feels cheap. It is fun though more as a bath/pool toy than a flight set. Cute noelty gift.
super fun way to take a shot

I've seen various ways to liven up parties. one host has a set of shot glasses where every shot glass has a different saying on it. Another host has a garden trowel that securely holds a lot of shot glasses as he walks around and offers them to guests. A third host gives you a shot whether you ask for it or not.
So I was very happy to use this boat at my last party, its kind of a mix of several things. And if you are clever, or at least slightly drunk, the boat can create some fun comments.
The metal shot "cups" are easy to clean and won't break if someone has an "oops" moment. If you keep your vodka in the freezer then the metal shot cups transfer the contextual feeling of coldness beautifully.
I did not try to float this in any way, not in a pool or whatever. I just used it as a serving idea. I can prepare 4 shots and then bring them to the table easily without having to bundle up a lot of glasses in my hands.
One of my guests favorite shot recipes is to pour a bit of fruit syrup in the bottom of the shot glass (blackberry or black currant usually). Then pour in chilled vodka. The ratio really depends on how alcoholic you want it to be. Finally put a few droplets of Tabasco sauce on the top. The Tabasco usually falls through the vodka to rest on the fruit syrup due to the different densities, which looks cool. Anyway try it out.

- Unique and fun pool party item
- Floats well in calm water
- Comes with 4 aluminum shot glasses
- Liquids in shot glasses will slosh out in choppy water
-Don't leave in water too long or cork starts to disintegrate
The Bottom Line:
This is a pretty unique pool party item and got some fun comments at a pool party I just went to. The boat definitely floats with 4 full shot glasses in calm water but if the water gets choppy, the liquid tends to slosh out. The boat is made of cork and floats without issue for hours. Overall, while you don't necessarily need a floating shot glass holder it is pretty unique and worth a look if you or your friends love boats!
