I bought this for my beach wedding and it was perfect! It's a nice size, big enough for two large round trays and one med size tray. For the price it was pretty well made. I thought it would look cheap but it surprised me and looked really nice with the ice and food in it. The drain plug in the bottom didn't leak and was great to have. I checked for water and air leaks a week before the wedding to make sure it would work and it was perfect. I used two large bags of ice to make a good layer on the bottom. The ice didn't melt too much in 80 degree temp for about 4 hours. On a side note my new husband calls it the salad boat. lol We loved it and I'm so happy we bought this for the wedding!

Used this for a baby shower I threw for my sister. Didn't leak, and was perfect to make beverages easy to grab.

These worked well. There are two CONS that took the rating down 1 star: (1) they could not be blown up without using a bike air pump. (2) it takes up a full 6 foot table top, but leaves a lot of wasted space around the edges that isn't big enough to put anything else there. If you are planning on putting flowers or decorations all the way around the buffet, you might like this. But I found I could only put 3-5 items in it and would rather of had a slightly larger one that maximized use of the 6 foot table.

Drain plug is very nice! I didn't have any leaks.

As another person suggested, I put styrofoam in the bottom before adding ice and it worked well.

Be prepared to put 2-3 bags of ice in each one!!!

I purchased this almost a year ago. I am finally writing a review since I have now had an opportunity to use it. This Christmas was the first time EVER that when I put away our dips, salad, etc., at the end of the evening that I didn't wonder if I should just throw them away.

I used this on our dining room table all day. It kept the ice well (I never added ice, but it was inside the house and I figured normally the food just sits on the table, so any ice at all has got to be an improvement, right?). Surprisingly, about 10 hours later, there were some ice pieces left. The dips were all still cold. I was very pleased with this purchase.

Since I was inside the house and draining it would be cumbersome, I made sure before filling it that the drain plug was situated near the outside corner of the table. After removing my food dishes from it, I removed what ice was left, then placed a cooler under the drain plug and put a bucket on the the cooler for some stability-then opened the plug. (you could probably drain it into the cooler -there was broccoli and dip crud in mine that I didn't want in my cooler) anyhow, it was a super easy cleanup. I recommend this purchase. If you know someone who hosts parties often, it would make a thoughtful gift. The packaging is tacky. Heck, it even looks tacky...but when they use it, they will love it.

We just used this for the first time and we are so happy that we purchased it. It blows up easily. We set it on a vinyl table cloth, just in case there was moisture. I cannot believe how much it held. We put in two bags of ice, three huge bowls filled with salads and all the condiments. It was in the high 80's and everything stayed cool. We had so many compliments on the GGI Inflatable Serving bar. I told them right where we purchased it. When the party was over, clean-up was a piece of cake. We pulled the drain plug, wiped it down and dried it. It folds up nicely and is ready for the next party. It does not take up any space to store. This is a absolute must have for summer parties. We highly recommend the GGI Inflatable Serving Bar.

This was very convenient for my son's graduation party. I thought about just getting a small pool toy to use but so glad I just went with this product - made for this purpose. The drain hole (which we did not need - our party was inside) is in a convenient location if you need to use it. We did use real ice but you could probably use the freezer packs. We had all of our cold items in different sized glass containers - everything stayed cold and fresh thru the afternoon. Received many complements and questions. Easy to set up and take down. Great price too! I've seen others triple this price - I'm sure they are nice but this was perfect. Love that it is plain white and did not compete for theme or color. I highly recommend this product.

My daughter had an ice cream party, which we held in 80 degree heat outside. I filled this with ice and put the ice cream containers in it, as well as the whipped cream and packages of Capri Sun. It was large enough to hold 6 half-gallons and the extras. The trick was to seat the ice cream deep into the ice and although it got soft, it wasn't soupy and it served it's purpose allowing the kids to make multiple trips to the "ice cream bar" without anyone having to run in and out of the house.

We have since used it for BBQs and other parties. I would not plan on using this indoors though, it's meant to be used outside.

One tip- position it just right before you add the ice, paying attention to the drain plug. Then when you are done you can open the plug and walk away while it drains because it's impossible to move once filled. This isn't really an insulated item as much as it is just a big ice holder-but it works great!

Great Big Buffet Bars!

Great little bars - SO glad I purchased the ones with the DRAIN! Used both bars at an outdoor party on a HOT summer day. I left the drains open on both bars for the party. The picnic tables in the pavilion were steel mesh with little spaces so the melted water just dripped down through the tables. It was so hot that the dripping water was a relief - the teens stuck their feet in it to wash off sand from the volleyball court, silly string from the silly string fights and my husband washed his "meat grilling" hands in it! Even so, there was a lot of ice and very cold water left in these after the party (enough that we had our own "ice bucket challenge"). The bars are spacious and fit all the round bowls, square trays, etc. I didn't measure the interior, but they are big! These are NOT small little bars. It was great to have the puffy edges so the trays, bottles, etc. didn't slide off or fall out. Even the loose grapes fell into the bar instead of on the floor to get smushed! These were easy to inflate, deflate and clean. Had no issues with holes, rips, split seams or breaks. The plastic is good quality and we will definitely use these again at all our outdoor parties - maybe even indoor parties to keep salads, etc. cold. Of course, with the drain closed! ;-}

Finally a decent way to keep cold food chilled while at a party/ event. Blows up easily and holds a descent amount. The drain plug works out nice if you're able to put a bucket under it for the water or if you're outside and it doesn't matter where the water goes. But indoor and no bucket is a little interesting to do, lol. Lesson learned. I highly recommended this and look forward to many summer outings with friends just hanging around outdoors or chilling around the fire.

I have to pat myself on the back for finding this treasure! it was exactly what we needed when we were putting on a Taco lunch. We blew it up, put ice in it, and put tupperware containers full of condiments in. Many people that walked through commented and some asked me where we found such a perfect pool. I let them know where I got it from and told them it was actually made for serving food in. ;)

The Plastic is thick enough to now worry about it tearing and the best way I can explain it is to say that it feels like the same thickness as a kiddy pool that you would put up in your yard and look at the abuse those things go though.
