I'm very pleased! Great product, great price. Before purchasing, I read about water getting inside the glass (it's double-walled), how the glass is too thin, and how it had internal condensation after being in a dishwasher. I thought I'd write this review to clear a few things up.

The glass itself seems to be about as thick as your standard wine glass, possibly a bit thicker. It's tough to gauge since you cannot get a feel of a single layer of glass to test it (again, because it's double-walled).

Some people have said that water made it's way through a small hole in the bottom of the stein. It seems that the company has resolved this issue. There is a small hole in the bottom, however it is sealed with a glue that seems quite durable and watertight.

As far as the dishwasher goes, don't do it. The box clearly states that it's not dishwasher-safe.

Order went perfectly, and item was exactly as described, which was a good start. I ordered this as gift for the wine lover in a family of beer drinkers, and she was very pleased. It is just what it says it is, which is a wine glass enclosed in a glass, beer stein-shaped mug. It feels like a nice piece of glass to hold in one's hand and to drink from, and the recipient used it right way with enthusiasm. FRED has come through again with something interesting and well made.

Christmas Gift

I bought this as a Christmas Gift for my brother in 2013 and I think it's been a sufficient amount of time to give a quality review. Some complaints I read were that the glass was too small for a 12 oz beer and that it breaks easily. I can say with confidence that a 12 oz beer fits perfect in this glass, you must tilt the glass as you pour so you don't get a head on the beer. As for breakable, I'm sure if you dropped it that it would break but so far so good there's not chipping, fogging or any condensation forming between the double layer walls.

My Dad likes it so much I may buy him one for Father's Day.

Double-Walled Glass Mug

My wife and I were on an anniversary weekend and initially bought this at a glass blowing plant. We found it in the souvenir shop. She loved the mug because of the thought of not having to keep up with me drinking the same amount of beer! Great concept for the ladies! That mug eventually developed a crack in it but we were able to find the exact replacement on Amazon.

My only recommendation for Amazon is to package the glass better for shipment. The first one I received was smashed beyond recognition. The second one was delivered lightly packaged as well but survived.

I had accidentally broken two wine glasses at different times when visiting a friend. I joked that I need to drink my wine from a beer mug so I'd stop destroying his wine glasses. Then I saw the Winestein in a catalog and thought it was the perfect solution. I knew Amazon would probably carry them too and so ordered from them.

My friend and any others who have had a drink with us think it's a hoot and want to order them too. So, be prepared Amazon, you should have a few more orders coming your way.

Excellant container witha twist

Purchased this glass as a novelty way of enjoying a cold beverage. It's unique design of making the beverage/beer in the glass appear like an upside down bottle, catches people by surprise when they first see it. It is made of glass and double walled so the beverage stays cold, while looking "cool". I purchased one each for my son, son-in-law and my daughter's boyfriend, as well as one for myself. I ordered two initially, and have since ordered others. All think the glass is cool and neat. I even purchased a coffee mug and wine glass of the same genre that I gave away and everyone is pleased with these items.

This glass is great if there are no flaws.

The first glass we received did not stand straight and had a hole somewhere that allowed liquid in between the two walls so it remained looking dirty and grungy no matter how well it was cleaned.

We did buy a second glass and it was perfect, straight and without leaks. The glass is made of a type of glass that is super super lightweight almost like plastic but it does 'ping' like glass when you tap it.

I would definately recommend this as a cool gift for the beer drinker who has everything, just be sure to check the quality as soon as you get it.

It's cool but just seems a little flimsy and top heavy. I was expecting a bit heavier and nicer glass. But it does look cool.

All glass with no holes in the bottom like others. Beer wont warm in touch with hand‹‹‹. It holds an 11,2 oz beer whole.

I've had my glass for months and I love drinking out of it. It is very durable and really keeps your beer frosty and your hand warm. I got these two for my sister and her husband. They love them and we always have a drink out of them when I go over. My friend Jordan bought the cheaper ones. DON'T!!!! They do not have the same details as these and are so flimsy, she knocked one over in the sink and it shattered!
