Very useful Pumps, with some complications
by Don L. Binder (5 out of 5 stars)

I have used similar Jokari pumps for a couple of years, and they have always worked very well, but are a bit fragile. The small plastic hinges are easily broken. One I have had the longest developed a hole in the top of the rubber pump ball, so I have to pump with my thumb over the hole!

Recently I ordered these 3 pumps, had an issue with all 3 leaking air from the intake port, notified Amazon, was sent 3 replacements for free, with free return shipping on the originals. The 3 replacements leaked in the same way. This time I contacted Jokari directly, and was told to ship them to their facility in Texas. I was re-reimbursed for the shipping and sent 3 replacements, 2 with black pumps and 1 with blue. The blue worked fine, but the others leaked in the same way, I contacted Susan at Jokari. She told me that she would find some that worked and notify her folks that there was a manufacturing issue. Last week I received 4 replacement pumps, all black and working fine. Congrats to Amazon, and Jokari, for their customer service.

If you like only fresh soda this is for you!

I love these! We have six of them now and pumping it is well worth the time to have fresh soda right to the end of the bottle. We never throw out flat soda anymore and if there is only a glassful left in the bottle I have no problem leaving it. We pump it every time time we close the bottle. You have to understand when you get down to the bottle of the bottle you might have to pump it 60 times whereas when the bottle it almost full it only takes a few pumps.

They work well, but....
by DannyBoy (4 out of 5 stars)

They work as advertised: pressure maintains the carbonation very well until the last 10 to 15% of the 2 liter soda. If you use the entire soda over two days or so, you will get good results. You can even leave a partially used bottle sealed under pressure for over a week, as long as it is at least 75% full and well pumped up. But if you leave the last two cups or so pressurized for more than about 12 hours, you will definitely lose most of the remaining carbonation. It seems that the effectiveness of the pressure valve is indirectly proportional to the volume of liquid remaining in the bottle. That said, it does work much better than just putting the cap back on. And the first half to two thirds of the soda will usually taste as fizzy as if the bottle were just opened.

One note of caution: you have to be careful to close the the flip-open top securely (snap it shut) BEFORE trying to unscrew the valve from the bottle, or you will break the hinge. Fortunately there are three valves to the package and I have a short learning curve, so I am still on valve #2.

Well-named product -- keeps the fizz and pours easily
by Beartrap88 (5 out of 5 stars)

It takes more pumping as the 2-liter bottle empties, but if you don't mind squeezing the bulb, it does the job quite well. I usually slice off the remaining ring when I first open and discard the original bottle cap, ir order to ensure a tight fit for the device, although this may not always be necessary. I find that it takes around five pumps when the bottle is almost full, 10 when it's half empty, and 20 near the bottom. The pumping goes quickly, and it keeps the fizz just fine. The pouring feature is easy to use -- just flip open the cap and listen to the pressure release. This feature makes it far easier to use than the screw-on devices that have to be unscrewed each time you pour.

works great

I do not drink much soda, however when I do it can remain in my fridge for at least a week. Normally, soda will go flat in just a few days, but not now. The pressure keeps the soda "fresh". The money saved on two liter bottles make this little device a necessity. Not sure how long the plastic will hold up but I feel like the results have already made this a worthwhile purchase.

I have been using this brand for about 6-7 years now it works great, the gasket within, that actually seals the bottle and makes it work was black rubber in the past, and usually was the 1st thing to go,so I got some thin gasket stuff and made my own O-ring,and it was back on the road, again, now they have a silicone o-ring clear stuff that might last longer than the older black rubber one,it really works great, kepping the fizz in for days.

Great item. Great price.

I've used a Fizz Keeper for years and been very happy with it. I bought these for the rare times we have more than one opened bottle to store.

The packaging indicates Jokari is the manufacturer, but the pump clip doesn't state "Fizz Keeper" as depicted in the photo. Nonetheless, these are clearly identical to the one I bought previously, and are a real buy at the 3-pack price here.

Complete waste of money

Doesn't work. The air leaks out and the soda actually gets FLATTER than with a regular cap. Complete waste of money.

Best one on the market.

This thing works, and finally one that doesn't leak. This pumps up fast, releases easily and keeps any level of filled soda fresh for week+. I have yet to have one go flat with this pump on it, stored at room temp or otherwise. Ive been giving them as gifts and feeling accomplished doing it, that's how well it works.

Utterly Useless
by Steve O (1 out of 5 stars)

Quite simply, none of the units I bought work - one leaks air out of the back of the unit and is so poor it doesn't even pump the bottle up and the other will pump up but lose all pressure within minutes. Absolute rubbish. This doesn't even deserve a single star. I bought this on the strength of one I had for several years but these can't hold a candle to that one. The manufacturer/seller should be ashamed of themselves for producing/selling these.
