I've had this on my fishing vest for a month or two, and I opened it up to find it was rusting in several places. Also, as you can see in one of the photos, a part broke off. The photos show the tool after I sprayed it with WD-40.

I live near the ocean, but haven't been saltwater fishing.

They have a 25-year warranty, so I've sent it in for repair or replacement.

I didn't expect this multi-tool to be so compact (you can tell I didn't read the dimensions), but I've already gotten used to it and actually prefer it to some of my larger multi-tools. It has the essentials: spring-loaded scissors, which are very sharp and can cut with ease, a non-serrated knife blade, a flat-head/Phillips screwdriver with a nail file body, a carabiner clip which doubles as a bottle opener, and some really useful tweezers. I've had a couple of other multi-tools with various different tools that added bulk which I realized half of them I didn't even use. This narrowed down the size but maximized the usefulness and is perfect as part of my EDC.

First time buyer with Leatherman and this tool has everything I need for my everyday use so I'm definitely satisfied with this little multi-tool.

I've had one in my pocket every day for 5 years and it is great. I just realized it had tweezers recently while reading someone else's review...a nice discovery (thought it was just part of the construction before.) The tweezers are better quality than Victorinox tweezers. The scissors are way better than Victorninox's, though I do love SAKs. I love the look of the Style CS and the tools really are handy. The file is great for fingernails, and sharpening fish hooks while out on the water. The blade in this tool is the only one I carried for years. Recently I started getting into larger pocket knives, but after a while it dawned on me, that the blade included in the Style CS covered 98% of my needs. This tool just gets better with a bit of oil and some time. Only criticisms are the nail nick should be moved further out toward the blade point, and the carabiner clip/bottle opener needs to be strengthened. Would give it 4.9 stars if I could.

There are lighter, more compact multi-tools out there, but this one hits the sweet spot for me because it is light enough, but still subtantial and dependable.

I have had this small multi tool for a long time, but started using it daily for the last year and a half. It has gotten to the point to when I miss place it or lose it for a couple of days/hours I feel awkward and can't feel 100% sane. I had to buy an extra one for the day i lose it for sure. But that extra has gone inside my wife's purse, since every time she needed scissors to cut a bag, a clothes label or knife to open a box I had the solution inside my pants pocket. She now uses it every day as well. She just used it to screw and build an early Christmas kids house, no time to get the crew driver, only used this Style cs.

Now I bought 4 for Christmas presents to family members.

This tool is all you need for everyday carry, the scissors cut extremely well. Really like it and I recommend it to everyone.

This little thing goes everywhere with me. I lost one at through airport security once and had already purchased its replacement by the time I boarded my plane. I have one on each set of my keys, and the ONLY time I don't have it on me now, is when I fly. Yes, I carry a larger multitool or knife in my bag or car etc, but this little guy solves 99% of my daily needs and everyone knows I have "just the tool" for filing my ripped nail in the car, pulling out the splinter, opening the bottle, snipping a forgotten clothes tag, or any other random daily task. The clip is admittedly not that secure, but it lives on my key ring and I have never lost it. I used to put my key ring through the hole as designed, but it was just too much of a hassle to use attached to all my keys. I am only sad that I can no longer find this in the color variations it used to come in!

This is not a substitute for a full leatherman tool. I knew this going in but I know some may think it will suffice. I consider it an addition to one. Most of all, I consider it an easy access pair of scissors with add-ons. There are times, dressed in casual clothing, that I may not carry my Leatheman and this takes its place in such times. But for when I carry both, it still has it's daily usefulness. I work maintenance and one thing I am using constantly is zip ties. The scissors on this tool make short work of them, even the heavy gauge 16 inch ones, cutting through them like butter. I've also used them to trim and file fingernails, remove dozens of splinters and the knives sharpness surprised me and still does after almost a year of use. The flathead is also far from useless. The entire tool gets a daily workout, not including banging around against the keys in my pocket and it still works like new. Please keep in mind that unlike a full Leatherman, the tools do not lock into place while open. so please use caution while using the knife. This is an EDC must and you will not be adding it to the junk drawer.

Very Flimsy

I love this thing! The blades on both the scissors and the knife are very sharp. The scissors are just large enough for my purposes and the whole thing is nice and small. I needed a small portable scissor/knife combo with scissors that are sharper and larger than swiss army knife scissors. This is perfect for my needs.

UPDATE 04/13/16: These things are just as sharp as new even with constant use. I had to oil it with some gun oil because it started developing a clicking sound when using the scissors. I never figured out which part of this thing the clicking sound was coming from: I just oiled every joint and metal-on-metal point that I could find and wiped it down real good for excess oil which fixed the clicking sound. I keep this thing clean using isopropyl alcohol for the blades and Break Free CLP for lubrication. The isopropyl alcohol pads/wipes that are sold at pharmacies for cleaning skin prior to an injection are perfect for cleaning the blades.

UPDATE 11/29/16: A small piece of metal that stabilizes the blade when in use has broken off. The blade now floats about freely when deployed. This is very disappointing because I use this thing on soft organic material and store it in a climate controlled room and the tool never leaves this location (I baby the hell out of this thing). It still broke after barely 1 year, will not buy again.

I'm my field of work I need a reliable multi tool that's small enough to carry, easy to clean, and yet can function at all kinds of tasks. This is it on my opinion. Years of abuse and it still gets the job done. I have tried many cheaper brand but they don't have the quality or durability that this product does. Highly recommend!

The only problem with this product is that I keep on me so regularly that I forget to leave it out of my pocket when I travel or go into large venues where they take it away from me. So I keep having to order it again. This is my 6th one in 3 years. They're inexpensive enough that it's not a big deal. For me, it is exactly the right balance of size (small enough to have on me all the time, in my pocket, without seeming like some sort of backwoodsman with my giant leather pouch on my belt) and function (bottle opener, scissors, knife, tweezers, etc.) The quality is outstanding. I've never had one with any build-quality issues, and the design is just right for what it is. Other reviewers criticize it for not being what it isn't designed to be in the first place. You want a big knife? Get a big knife. You want more tools? Get a bigger multi-tool. It is what it is. It is a minimalist multi-tool. Works great for me.

Great Gadget for the gadget nut, or an Excellent gift for ANYONE

I often have people giving me manicure sets as part of a Christmas "I didn't know what to get you gift set" So I got this simply for the Scissors, and LOVE the entire package. Small, key chain sized and has a few great and very usable things on it for just about anyone. I;d give it as a gift for ANYONE, male or female. Who doesn't;t find themselves in need of a set of tweezers now and again? or a file to smooth over that just damaged nail edge before it starts snagging your girlfriend's panty hose... or whatever...LOL Greta item, would absolutely make a great gift or handy tool for the gadget nut like me.
