Bought this for someone that's got weak hands as a result of arthritis, and it's made a big difference. The one drink she liked best always seemed to come in bottles that were extremely hard to open, but this little tool makes easy work of it. It fits the cap perfectly and provides just enough leverage that what had been impossible to open is now easy. Definitely recommend it for anyone that might have issues opening cans and bottles, no matter why.

A Product to Help Make Life Easier for my Aging Mom

Last time I was at my mom's house I could see that she had a hard time opening her water bottles (she is 87 with arthritis in her hands). She had a jar opener that helped with larger lids and such, but was useless for small lids or caps. She called me (we live in different states) after it arrived to thank me, as it worked perfectly for her needs. It also opened the cans of dog food that had the tab openers. I was very happy that there was a product to help make life easier for my aging mom.

Came on time in good condition. Works very well on 8 pack/12 oz. Coke Zero bottles - which is what we got it for. Not too crazy about the color

would have preferred something a little more subdued - but it does a great job on the bottles and the magnate sticks to the refrigerator just fine. Price is a little high for what it is -- but in the end it does what we want and as long as it lasts a year or two we'll be satisfied 100%.

I bought this because after I broke several fingers in a skiing accident, opening soda bottles leaves me with pain that can last days. I expected this product to make it easier but I'm happy to recommend it to everyone. Opening an extremely tight soda bottle takes very little strength. I'm not exaggerating! It's a great tool, and I'll be recommending it to my friends and family. I have a beer bottle opener, multiple can openers, but I'm the most excited about the Magic Opener. Everyone should have one in their home.

Fantastic Opener

I was finding it increasingly difficult to unscrew the plastic tops on bottles because especially when the connection doesn't have enough perforations or whatever so that it breaks off when you twist it. I sometimes had to resort to a knife to try to slice through it to enable me to torque the top off.

It reached a head when I ordered some soda water and the tops literally couldn't be opened.

I couldn't believe how well this worked. I have a slightly arthritic thumb and using this is completely painless. This would be incredibly useful for anyone who is starting to lose strength to twist off tight tops or arthritis making it painful to pinch and twist.

One day my aging mother broke down crying because she has grown so weak that she couldn't even open the lid of a bottle of water. It killed me to see her so upset and I felt so bad for her. (Granted, that sucker was on TIGHT!). I was visiting her and while I'm around I can help her with things around the house, but when I leave she's on her own again. I immediately got on Amazon and started looking for something because I felt so bad. I found this opener and ordered it immediately. With this she can open anything! I don't have to worry about her not even being able to open a water bottle. Great product!

This opener is great when used on water bottles or soda bottles. I gave it a four because right out of the box, the top of the opener was sticky as the devil. I washed it a few times and it was still too sticky to use comfortably. I rubbed it with talcum powder and now it's great, but I don't think that I should have had to go to this trouble in order to use the product.

I just had surgery in the palm and finger of my hand, and could not open cat food, soup cans or any other pop tops cause I could not use any force on the hand!!

I am 67 years old and till now have not considered purchasing any "special needs" tools. I surfed the web looking for something that would work without breaking my 30 stitches to open a can....and then I found EXTREME Magic Opener on the Amazon website.

This opener was great for lifting off the pop top of the cat food can. Used it to pop it open in one direction, then turned the opener to a 45 degree angle and pried the rest of the top off. Works great for soda cans as well.

Till now, I used a dull knife to lift pop tops so I didn't damage my nail polish or chip nails, but always thought that wasn't too safe or smart of an idea - but didn't look for anything else till now.

This product is great for all women who want to keep their nails in good shape and for your Moms and Dads to make life a little easier for them!

When it comes to water bottles, if the interchangeable template in the standard opener does not fit the particular brand of water you use, you will have to purchase other inserts.

The packaging on the product makes it look like it has carnival colors - BUT THE OPENER IS MOSTLY BLACK and therefore attractive enough to put on your fridge by it's magnetized back or just sit on the counter.

Works great but plastic disintegrating before opening

I bought these to give as gifts as well as one for myself. Love the pop top lifter, it is perfect for pet food cans. Works great for water bottles. The only complaint so far is from my father. His was sticky on the side without the openers. Unfortunately, it is not something that can be removed, but the plastic starting to disintegrate.
