As my Son would say--one of the best guns ever!
by D. D. (5 out of 5 stars)

My Son wanted to spend his allowance on this gun, as he is a huge nerf fan, and this was a good price. When we received the gun, he was so excited. It looked so cool! We put the batteries in, and nothing. We changed batteries, and nothing. I contacted Amazon and they sent us a new one, and instructed us to send the other one back. While waiting for the replacement one I kept working on getting the original one to work. What I found is the compartment for fixing jammed bullets has to be completely closed. It showed a little gap so wasn't closing tight, but as long as we held that compartment tightly closed it would work. When we got the replacement one luckily the compartment closed better, and we didn't have that problem. Worked perfectly! My son loves this gun!

I have bought three of these blasters so my family can all act like children. They are great. However this thing launches darts. I did not realize how fast these things were moving until I was struck in the face and man it hurt. Very easy to assemble and very very fun.

Good look, modular build is a plus. BUT, inconsistent firing and distance + jamming....

I'll say I was a bit underwhelmed. It's a bit wonky to use, especially compared to other non-powered versions. I'm not about to mod the crap out of this thing, but I see why the 'pros' route around the systems -- spin-up of engine to fire is annoying, and there's a broad inconsistency in the distance of flight (using NERF branded darts, so that shouldn't be the issue).

Son almost quit using it, but he loves the look, and the attachments. He's played with it a bit more, but the inconsistent jamming issues and fact that some darts go far, others flop out of barrel is disappointing.

I'm going to hold out hope for a non-powered Modulus system.

The inconsistency with this purchase, that I researched for about 2 hours (including youtube videos and modding videos), makes me leery of future purchases in this lineup.

Bought this for my son and even i'm impressed with all the fun combinations you can make with the neft gun and it's components. It does takes some batteries to power the firing mechanism. It fires at a fair rate and with a decent amount of power but some of the spring and air loaded nerf guns have a bit more power and range.

i like that it's compatible with all the other modulus guns and kits.

all in all not a bad purchase but i think the tri-strike is probably the better of the two main modulus guns if you had to choose.

Best semi-auto modulus gun ever

So much better to operate than a Stryfe. Accuracy and range are great, especially when you let the fly wheels recharge. It fires fast. Barely any firing restrictions besides some locks. Love the ECS-10. But if you have the money, get the new Nerf Regulator. For $26.54, this gun is an absolute steal.

I myself got this for the parts, since buying this $25 rifle was cheaper than spending $23 for the bits I needed, and I got a whole gun with it.

It fires well; push and hold the button under the trigger to get the flywheels going, and fire as fast as you can pull the trigger. Just be careful not to pull it too fast.

My only complaint is that the skeletal stock it comes with is almost on par with rubber; it flexes back and forth, and while showing it off to a buddy, he bent it completely out of shape by sheer accident.

It's a good gun, you may just want to get a different stock than packaged.

My son love this thing. It is very high quality and shoot pretty far. My son is a scrawny little guy and this thing is automatic so it's great. Will buy again.

Bought as a gift for my nephew and it was the same as in the store except I saved a ton. Put it together in second and we battled it out for hours on christmas.

Dead on arrival - shot three bullet and died
by mister practicality (1 out of 5 stars)

Shot three bullet and died. My son saved up his allowance for months to buy this. Now I not only have to tell him that it has to go back, I have to tell him we will never buy another Nerf gun again.

Before this I bought two mechanical Nerf guns and they both failed within two months. Never again, I am done with Nerf.

I checked the batteries and the battery connection: full 6+ volts (4x 1.5v AA batteries). Nothing happens when you pull trigger #1. Probably a bad trigger switch, a few other reviewers mentioned that.

I can see why this is a best seller. It's modular! You can add stuff to it. It's pretty powerful too. The kids have a lot of fun with this. Definitely a hit.
