OK, I know you die-hard campers will roll your eyes, because you would (of course) go out and cut down a tree and whittle your own sticks. Or, go hunt sticks, whatever it is that y'all do. But, I'm lazy and I hate to anger the trees. So, I got these.

And, can I just say... they rock! First of all, they come in a cool bag. I know, I know, it doesn't change their performance. But, what it does is keep them all nicely, neatly together in the storage space under the seats in our pop up camper. If you've ever stored anything under those, you know they get thrown from here to Hades. So, this is a NICE plus!

Next, they're color coded. And, yes, as soon as I opened the bag I yelled, "Dibs on Pink!!!" My husband looked at me a little odd, but still... If you have kids, this is going to be great. No fighting over whose hotdog is on which stick and who has cooties and so forth. Much easier.

Now, on to the actual construction. They're pretty darn sturdy! They telescope out easily, and back in easily. A friend thought that the tines actually fold back up into the handle, but they don't. And, I'm glad. I don't think they'd be very strong if they did that. And, these are STRONG. They'll hold way more than a couple marshmallows. I'm betting they'll hold brats. That's the sausage things, not your misbehaving children, by the way.

And, my favorite part was discovered upon clean up. They're made of some magical metal that just cleans right up. After marshmallows! Have you ever cleaned up melted marshmallow goo??? It's like super glue! But, just some dishwashing liquid and a sponge and BAM! CLEAN! I let them air dry (I was being careful, because I didn't want the telescoping part to remain wet when packed up) and put them back in their bag. DONE! That easy!

I grew up hunting down my own marshmallow stick and carefully pointing it with my dad's pocket knife. Sometimes I found the perfect stick - evenly tapered, straight, long and strong. But mostly, they were curved and made for a few contortions to keep from burning one side of the marshmallow and cooking them evenly without setting them on fire.

Another recent phenomenon is campsites that have been picked over, with no sticks left.

We had a 12th birthday campout party for my son in September with 7 kids. Marshmallow roasting was going to be a central part of the evening's activities, and wanted to avoid the problem of no decent native sticks, so we picked up a set of MallowMe sticks before the trip

I was a little concerned they wouldn't be strong enough, or stay extended. Looks like they're made from a good quality stainless steel auto radio antenna stock, with wood handles that don't get hot, and ended up being just what we needed! They're color coded so kids knew which one was theirs, were sturdy enough for 12 years olds to not destroy (even the one that a kid kept turning every marshmallow into a torch). After one hard use, the sticks are all still tight, the gauge of metal thick enough that they didn't droop.

This was only one use, and will update my review if things change as they are used more. Our first impression was great!

Good, but could be better

These work quite well, but have a few issues.

The tips are totally blunt, so it's really hard to puncture a hot dog or sausage to roast. I'm concerned about permanently damaging/bending the stick because we have to push so hard to get through the sausage skin. A tiny bit of a point would have been really helpful.

The zipper on the bag broke after less than 10 uses. Now it's just a bag that can't close.

I'd say we've tried about 6 different brands and tools to roast marshmallows ranging from those cheap $1 skewers you'd find a dollar store up to "nicer" brands and they've all either rusted, broken or have some weird coating. However, these have been exactly what I'd expect. No rust, sturdy, and dependable. The company has a great customer support team too when I had a question to resolve. Would buy again and recommend.

The Best Marshmallow Roasting Sticks I've Used!

I ordered 24 forks (3 packages) for a school 4th grade class camping trip = 24 kids and 20 parents. I bought just enough forks for the kids. Numerous parents commented on the forks that they loved how they easily folded out/in and the different colors on the handles was a great aid to the kids. After the kids went to bed I just wrapped them in a paper towel as I had no place to properly wash them at the campsite. When I got home the next day I put them in a bowl of warm soapy water and they cleaned off easily. They also come in a great cloth bag to store them and they are so so compact when folded down! I don't mind that I have 24 of these forks as they will be put to great use when we go camping with friends and family.These fork will now be on my list of gifts to give people (birthdays, Father's Day, Christmas stocking stuffers etc.). These forks were well packaged for shipping and arrived on time! An AWESOME product!

Magic Sticks - Best roasting tool for camping

These roasting sticks are the bomb! The telescoping extension action makes these roasting sticks far superior to anything else I've used, like extremely sharp skewers or sticks I have found on the ground. I felt like royalty using these during our last camping trip, and couldn't wait to show them to my fellow campers. While we only used these for marshmallows, they also would have worked fabulously on hot dogs, brats or any other kind of wiener for that matter. I'm sure others have gotten more creative with the things they have been able to roast with these magic sticks. They extended far enough to reach the fire pit while I lounged in my chair enjoying a cold one. And the perfectly round handle made for a perfectly even roast on my mallows. Even better, we had a bunch of toddlers running around camp, and although the skewers on the MalloMe sticks easily hold on to your marshmallow, they are not sharp so were safe for the kids to use. They also make pretty sweet swords. And they are colorful, so everyone can keep track of their sticks. The bonus??? The convenient carrying case to pack them out of camp in. All in all, best new camping item I've purchased in a while. If you are on the fence, buy them. They are great!

Great marshmallow roasting sticks!

I purchased these for a trip where making s'mores was planned. I decided to purchase a quality set with the thought that they would get use past this trip. With that being said, I have only used them once, but they were worked perfectly. I searched through all of the marshmallow roasting sticks prior to deciding on this one and a couple of things made me go with these (besides the other positive reviews). One was the length. I have small kids and wasn't sure what the fire pit would be like so wanted to ensure that the sticks were long enough that the kids could roast safely without me completely hovering. However, while I wanted length, I loved that these collapsed to a shorter length for storage and portability. The other major selling point for me was the different color pieces included on each stick. While this was not a deal breaker, I thought it was cute and knew my kids would love picking out their own color - which they did. The handles themselves were easy for little hands to hold onto. The hotel we were at provided long wooden sticks for others and while they were plenty long, they definitely didn't seem as easy to manage. The storage bag was a nice bonus for the set. Once we were home I washed them and they returned to great condition. Overall, I think this is a great product and look forward to many more fun marshmallow roasting nights!

Great campfire accessory!

These sticks are great...a big improvement from our shorter, metal hot dog/marshmallow forks. They're sturdy and seem to be well made. Love that they telescope so that they're long enough to keep you from being too close to the fire, but they also can be shortened for easy storage. The storage bag is also a nice touch & helps keep all the sticks together. The wooden handles are more comfortable to hold than the metal handles on our previous sticks, and the different colors on the handles help everyone know which stick is theirs. Plus, the kids think the colors are super cool. Very pleased with this purchase. Highly recommended!

Who wants s'mores?

I first learned about these roasting stick things last summer & when we got our fire pit this year, I knew we had to get some. They're ingenious. No more hunting around for sticks in the woods! They make it safe for everyone to stay far away from the flames. Retract & extend easily. Easy to clean, they did fine in the dishwasher. & these ones aren't super sharp on the ends like others being sold, so they are pretty safe for kids to load their marshmallows onto. Thankful for the bag to keep them all together too!

Your feedback link does not work. But I did want you to know that we have used these stick about 3 times since we purchased and they are great. My husband does wish they were a little longer since we have two young children (ages 4 and 5) and he feels safer having them farther away from the fire it, but they are a standard size for these sticks. My kids love getting to pick a different color when using them and then you know which one is yours.
