Product Description

Each set of Brain Specimen Coasters comes with ten glass coasters. Each coaster has four rubber feet (to further protect the surfaces the coasters are protecting in the first place) and a slice of brain printed on it. Moisture ruins the decals

These are really neat and were priced affordably. However, after moderate use we discovered that moisture causes the decals to dissolve and come off the glass surface of the coaster. They need to be sealed with something to protect them. Disappointed because the whole purpose of a coaster is to protect the table from moisture...

Disappointing

I love these coasters and get so many compliments on them, but unfortunately, after only a month or two of use, they have already begun to deteriorate. These brains are not very stable, and the design has begun to peel away from the glass. I have used them mostly for my coffee mug and the occasional can of sparkling water. I have not spilled anything on the surface of the coasters, so there is no reason to believe that the design has been affected by a solvent or other harsh product. It has been simple condensation that has caused this effect. Very disappointing, since I absolutely love the idea and look of these. There's just something missing in the execution. I hope they update the product to hold up better in the future.

There was no coating to protect the painted surface. The little rubbers things on the bottom... some were placed in strange places, some had more than 4. Quality very low for these. I ended up sending them back.

Look good. Images peeled off with moisture on 1st use

The very first time I used them as coasters, yesterday, the moisture from the glass caused the decals to peel off. Now i have ripped up brain images on glass and an expired return window. 2 stars because they look good, but DO NOT function as coasters without the brain layer images being totally destroyed. Use a sealer on them, ThinkGeek. Would not buy again unless they were not advertised as coasters. Super disappointed.

Cool gift for someone that's into science and anatomy. however, these are completely useless. You cant get anything on them with a liquid consistency or they will start to peel off. Very disappointed!

Paint flakes off after use

I dont understand why these are poor quality, they were so much yet fall appart when doing what they are supposed to do. They are supposed to stop water and liquid from getting onto your table or surface but when they get wet, the image of the brain just flakes off. their entire purpose is to get when yet that ruins them. i paid so much for these and am honestly super disapponted with the poor craftmanship

Loved them when they arrived

Loved them when they arrived. After a few uses the picture started to peel off. Would have been better if the picture was on the bottom of the glass rather than on top where you place cups/glasses. The heat or cold appears to cause the paint to come off.

Chemically Harmful

I was so excited to receive these in the mail, I bought one for myself and one for a gift. However, right on the front of the box was a sticker that said "CAUTION: this product contains chemicals that are harmful to female reproductive system". I was shocked, especially because it did not tell me this before I ordered them. I certainly couldn't give this away as a gift. I even tried scraping the sticker off for 20 minutes to no avail. In the end, I didn't want harmful chemicals in my house so I ended up throwing them away. Waste of money

Awesome coasters! They are made of glass, so be careful that the drink doesnt get suctioned to the coaster. I had one stick to my beer bottle and it fell and broke. Totally my fault, though! They look like a 3d brain when they are stacked. I love em

Room temp glass of water does this? I bought these 34 days ago... I should be refunded or sent new ones...
