I hate to say it, but the ones who posted reviews saying that it's not loud enough and/or doesn't work properly were right.

You know how LOUD the musical cards are that you see in stores? They're usually loud enough that I quickly close the card out of embarrassment, because it's almost always a horrible earwig of a song that immediately gets stuck in my head. Well, this was maybe a fifth as loud as those, if not quieter. FAR TOO SUBTLE for what's SUPPOSED to be a PRANK greeting card! Don't dare give this to someone in a busy restaurant, because no one will even be able to tell a song is even playing!

And to think, I was dumb enough to pay for expedited shipping on this. I paid $18 for a card to help celebrate my mom's 70th birthday, & she never even realized it was a joke card!!!

I was really hoping that people were being overly critical on this one, but NO. They were SPOT ON. Until some MAJOR, DRASTIC improvements are made in the design, DO NOT BOTHER.

Not worth the money

We were so excited to give this card to a coworker just to mess with her. She pushed the button and the card turned on (we could barely hear it). She pushed the button a few times, which did make the card louder. She jokingly hit her hand on the table with the card in hand, and it stopped. The whole thing lasted less than 20 seconds.

I anticipated it being a little bit more difficult to "break" than just simply hitting the card against a table. The description is deceiving for the cost you are paying for a card.

Let me first say, "GOT EMMMMMMMM!"

Got this card for my friends birthday, passed it around to all my friends to sign/fill out/ whatever. During the signing process, my friend decided to press the button on the card. I think my face turned completely white, he pressed the button yet again and it turned back off. THANK GOD! Apparently you can listen to the card before pulling the tab to activate it, once activated, you cannot turn it off.

We took him out for dinner, he was about to open the card when we told him to wait till he got home, because the speaker is really crappy in it and he wouldn't hear the messages we left him in the loud restaurant. Took him out, shenanigans ensued. That night when he got home a little after 2, and very drunk, he decided to hit the button. He didnt realize something was up till it looped about 6x. He then continued to hit the button till it got fairly loud. Drunk and frustrated, he exacto knifed the mechanism out of it and pulled all the wires apart. He was pissed/ We loved every moment of it.

Ive already purchased two different ones from JokerGreeting.com ........ cant WAIT to piss more people off!!!

Didn't work for me. I bought two because I went to a shared birthday party and I thought why not give the same card to both of them just in case the bad review that I read happens to me where it dies fast.

The first one started and the song was so quiet. When he pushed on the button which was supposed to get louder and louder and NOT turn off, turned off and didn't turn back on.

The second one started and was also quiet. She pushed the button to make it louder and it got a little louder and then turned off also.

It was such a let down because the idea is so funny, but nope. The stars didn't align for me. :(

Mildly Amusing & Completely Disappointing

I gave this card to a friend for his birthday yesterday. I filmed the whole thing, waiting to see his confusion (and potential rage?) build. The music from the card lasted less than 2 minutes. By the time he had moved on to the next present, it was done. We pushed the button again, curious, and this time it stopped after several seconds. The card is advertised as lasting 3+ hours. For over $10, the 2 minutes we got from it was not worth it. Definitely would not buy this again.

Gave my second card from my order out today for a birthday party. Shocked to see that YET ANOTHER card didn't work. Both of the cards I purchased were complete duds. Didn't make one sound. Very disappointing product.

On the positive side, the seller did provide a refund. So that was nice. But due to my experience TWICE now with these cards, I cannot recommend them at all. Too bad. Great concept. I'm sure they're hilarious when they actually work.

This was the best. I mean you can rip the cords apart but I told my husband to have fun with it . He completely burned it down to the speakers and batteries n such and then tried drowning it and it still works

This was the absolute best card ever! Very much enjoyed the brother in laws complaints about it getting louder every time he pushed the button, and not being able to make it stop! Though, we ended up having to find him a larger present so we could ship it in a box, because you can't send it in a regular envelope without risking it turning on too soon. Which would've been nice to know before we got it so we could've prepared better.

Horrible execution on a great idea

Bought this for my sons 10th birthday and although the idea is great, the execution of the product makes that idea worthless. Every time you smack the card even a little bit, it turns off. Go back to the drawing board and create a better product, and please let me know when you figure it out so you can send me another card that actually executes its intent.

Card arrived at the birthday boy's house... and no music played. He thought the joke was that you just kept pushing the button and nothing happens. For the amount of money this thing cost, I expected much better. Maybe it's karma, but it still feels like I got ripped off.
