We tried two other Bluetooth speakers before this unit. The first was from Home Depot made by Deck Impressions (Solar 3.5 7 in. 5-Watt Outdoor Wireless Rock Speaker with Multi-Linking Bluetooth Technology). That speaker would pair with an iPhone, but not an Amazon Echo Dot 2nd Generation, the intended music source. Also, it would not charge on solar even in direct sunlight here in Chandler, AZ. Home Depot took it back. The second was an ION Audio Solar Stone Wireless Solar-Rechargeable Garden Speaker (Single) sold by STL PRO, Inc. That one would pair with either an iPhone or the Echo Dot, but emitted no sound. After speaking with the manufacturer (ION), it was determined it was defective and has just be returned to STL PRO, Inc. This third speaker from Monster pairs with either an iPhone or Echo Dot and produces fantastic sound. With the solar collector on the top, its positioning is unlimited.

Fantastic speakers. I bought 4 to cocoon myself in music on my patio and 2 just went on a 5 day camping trip to proved 20 people music with great success. With that said, 2 speakers fully charged playing on medium volume with the light show going on by half brightness, drained both speakers in 5 hours. I've been able to get 10-11 hours on the battery on low volume from each speaker without the lights enabled. In direct sun with 1 dot good, charging to full took 6 hours. Pairing is easy. I've hooked the main speaker to my tv via aux and transmitted all sound to the 3 other speakers without issues. Def get the app to configure and control all speakers. Only downside is lack of an equalizer. I mainly use Spotify which solves that.

Skeptical at first, I have only had them for two days. I purchased two of them. They are extremely easy to pair and set up. The distance for the Bluetooth is descent, but nothing to right home about. The light is a nice feature but they should have enabled it to change with the beat of the music. The sound quality and sound stage is phenomenal and carries a great distance. The build is excellent with style that you will be proud to display. The provided power cord is a nice touch to be able to quickly charge your speakers. And alternately you can charge your phone or other devices using the USB port. I haven't yet tested battery life but so far Monster has met and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend these awesomely versatile and handsome speakers.

The Best

I got this for my birthday on April 23rd, it is now mid June. I use it daily and have not had to charge it once. I live in Florida I have left it out in some bad rain storms and it works great. The only down side is that it is not quite as loud as some other wireless speakers I have used, but those now do not hold a charge and have to be plugged in.

This speaker is a POS! Purchased as a Father's Day present for my husband. Worked great for one day. Next day, the speaker rattled as if it had blown. Returned to Amazon and received a replacement. The exact same thing happened with the replacement. Now we are outside of the 30-day return window so not sure what my options will be. Save your money - do not purchase this speaker!

Bought 3. Bluetooth can experience interference at times but overall not a major issue. Sound is excellent and lighting makes these perfect for backyard parties. Weather proof is a huge plus as well. Haven't brought them in since purchase and don't plan to until winter.

Really nice, big, high quality sound. Loud enough for outdoors. Great bass. Easy to bluetooth connect and play music from your phone. (Hold the blue tooth button 5 secs to disconnect another phone which may be preventing you from connecting your phone). Battery lasts a long time, like a least 10 hours without a charge (and without sunlight). The best sound I've heard from a portable bluetooth speaker. One is to get great sound.

One warning though, if you turn them up too high, especially with loud bass, they blow easily. Then they sound super fuzzy with each bass beat. This has happened twice to me.

I have had the speaker about 90 days. Had a little trouble pairing it with my other, older Monster speakers. Last few weeks the connectivity is sketchy. Cuts in and out a lot. And the battery does not seem to be holding a charge. Probably going to need to return this if I can. Really sucks.

Works great, has good range and it connects with other monster products for a music filled backyard. I connect two to my tv for good stereo sound around the pool and patio. I plan to buy one or two more. Sound is pretty good but don't expect Sonos or Bose quality sound. Solar charging is a real plus.

Really do like how this has functioned. am considering adding a second one to the collection so I can spread the music around on the deck.

Update. Added a second on and am glad I did, this is a nice outdoor speaker for the price and highly recommend.
