Extra crispy and convenient

I was so excited to try the Reheatza! We often have leftover pizza and the time it takes to heat up an oven to get the pizza crispy again, just takes too long. This product came packaged nicely and the directions were easy to follow. I first tried it with frozen chicken nuggets as I was curious if it could cook these quickly as well. I was pleased with the results, as they did come out crispy. I think it will take some trial and error and figuring out exactly how many minutes and seconds for every type of food. When I reheated my pizza this weekend, even my husband was impressed and quickly turned the oven off when he saw how crispy mine turned out. I will say, the crust on the bottom can get very hot and crispy if you cook it too long. Mine even got a little burnt in the middle, but clearly it was doing it's job. I just need to figure out the perfect amount of time to cook it.

Overall, I love it and would highly recommend it!

I like this product very much, HOWEVER, there are ads running for it on several of my mobile devices that are clearly INCORRECT in showing how to operate this item, and potentially HARMFUL to people's health if used as shown on them. I applaud Amazon.com, however, because the video shown HERE correctly shows how to use this device SAFELY - you need to pre-heat the base AS SHOWN here and described in their manual, and THEN put the food on it and heat it. Also, I would NEVER 'build your sandwich (or whatever) ON the base unit, itself, as some of the 'goofy' mobile device ads show, or you'll get a serious burn! Because the bread I sometimes get is VERY soft, I sometimes toast mine (VERY LIGHTLY) first in my toaster oven, and then build my sandwich (I don't use butter as they show), building my sandwich 'open-faced' - then heat it in the Reheatza, allowing the cheese to melt evenly, then flip it together and cut it once I get it onto my serving plate. That seems to work great for me - but I ALWAYS use hotpads when handling this unit. It is a great idea. Haven't had a chance to try it yet on very much else....

Not As Advertised!!!

Just received the Reheatza Microwave Crisper and tested it immediately on a 1000w microwave by making a grilled cheese sandwich! Heated the base for 3 minutes; put the buttered bread on the base and microwaved for 3 minutes; flipped and did another minute and 45 seconds; no brown whatsoever! heated in 30 second increments 6 times on one side and 10 times on other side to get slight brown; not crispy at all!!! Am SO disappointed. Will try one more time...will heat base longer next time!

OK...gave it another try! Heated the base for 4 minutes; the center never got hotter than 300 degrees and the edges 50 degrees cooler! Tried keeping the 2 slices of bread separate this time like in the video! After 7 minutes (at 1 minute intervals) the pieces of bread in the center (4" diameter) got brown and the half on the outer edges never did! This is extremely poor design when a 4" ring in the center get 50 degrees hotter than the rest of the base! I don't see how this device is gonna make pizza crust crispy again! However, I will give it a try! Guess I'm a sucker for good advertising!

First thing I tried was left over pizza and usually I have that cold right out of the box but doing it this way was great it came out nice and melted with crisp crust and it didn't taste like microwaved pizza! 10/10 would reheat my leftovers.

I was intrigued with Reheatza and tired of soggy re-heated pizza, so bought one! Decided to do a mini photo-journal of my experience(s) with the Reheatza.

First Impression: I like it's "heft" and how nice it looked. Okay, so far so good -- it's pretty but does it WORK?! Take a few minutes to read the the well-written & brief, to-the-point instructions. Most Important: You need to pre-heat it without the lid for 2 minutes and NEVER submerse the base in water. It is super easy to clean so no need to use a dishwasher anyway. That would ruin it.

I first tried bacon. Probably not the best thing to try first but I was excited to get going. It was thick cut bacon and it was cooking but wasn't crisping up fast enough for so transferred to a pan to finish it off. It took forever in the pan too, so it wasn't the fault of the Reheatza, just thick bacon. Kept the mess to a minimal, so that was good.

Second was sausage. PERFECTION! It took a few times of 2-3 minute intervals, turning each time, but it gave me time to prepare the rest of the breakfast without having to stand over a stove. And, again, NO MESS! There is a around the whole base that captures grease. The sausage was perfectly browned and cooked and no one had any clue it was cooked in the microwave. Everything takes a little time to cook, but that just means it get cooks like it should, and not overcooked, or burnt and dry. And, no grease splatter all over your kitchen! And while cooking eggs, I put the hash browns on the Reheatza and it kept them warm.

I reheated some thin crust pizza and what I liked best, is that it made the bottom of the crust crispy without over-cooking the rest of it. I was very impressed with that. I preheated without the lid for 2 minutes, put the pizza on the base, 2 more minutes with the lid, and I like it extra crisp, so hit another 30 seconds. Wasn't "limp" anymore, topping warm and bottom crisp.

Only flaw was that the rubber seal around the lid kept coming off so I finally just took it off for good and I actually like it better. The lid fits better now. So, decided not to take a review star off for that as I had originally planned. It works for what it is made for. knowing it's limitations -- I could not find any reason to give it less than 5-Stars. It will get a lot of use.

I got this for my Aunt and we waited forever for it to be delivered. My Aunt followed the instructions explicitly. She was not impressed. If you can't impress an 87 yr old woman , what can I say. I brought it home last week and I tried it on 4 separate days, with 4 different types of food. I found this device to be absolutely useless. It took several cycles to heat anything . If you wanted it crisp, just put the food on a plate and microwave it like you always do. You will be saving energy, time and space in the landfill. Total bust.

I followed all directions and the wattage on my microwave is correct for use of this product. As far as I am concerned, it was a waste of money.

It does not work nearly as well as any of the claims made in advertising.

Received my Rehestza yesterdsy...I was not sure at first. But followed the directions and my leftover pizza came out crisply, just as advertised. Great for quick crispy heat ups.
