All plastic "Made In China" construction

If I had seen this product in a store and could have examined it closely I would not have paid $11 for it. The entire product is made out of plastic in China, this isn't mentioned anywhere in the product description, it is "food safe" according to the packaging, but I honestly thought the globes would be made out of glass. In fact the packaging ad the presentation would lead you to believe that this is a delicate item. Lack of complete description leave open a lot of assumptions.

There are obvious seams from the molds on the sides of the bears, to be fair this can be seen on the pictures if you zoom in and you know what you are looking for. The globes themselves are pretty large as are the holes of the shakers, but at least for me this wasn't the biggest issue.

If you can't tell by the picture, these Snow Globe Salt & Pepper Shakers are absolutely adorable. As others have said, they're rather large - so they end up resembling snow globes much more than S&P shakers. People are always shocked when they see them on our kitchen table for the first time. Unlike a lot of other novelty shakers, the holes on these are pretty much perfect for meal time. Not too much, not too little. These are too cute NOT to buy!

Maybe this is my fault, but I placed these guys on the top of my stove (where I always place salt shakers), and they melted from the heat/steam of a pot. They are cute as decoration, but that's about it.

Adorable salt and pepper shakers - the kids love them! Unfortunately a family member had them sitting next to the BBQ as he was grilling, and the heat caused the salt globe to melt and become flat on one side. It still works ... it's just not as cool as it once was.

Not glass! Big plastic seams, injection mold marks, scratched up by the packaging...but yeah, it's got a !%@#ing bear in it. :)

Very fun and cute, just wish they were glass instead of plastic. Holes are a nice size, not so big that they over season but the pepper comes out easily.

Curio Cabinet piece

My wife enjoyed these so much as-is out of the box, she stuck them in the Curio with other winter / themed pieces and she loves polar bears. I'm sure they would of been great as shakers, but she enjoys the occasional "Those are salt and Pepper shakers?"

The Pepper Bear had no holes

Adorable bears. My daughter loves them. However the pepper shaker came without any holes in the plastic globe. It was easily fixed with a lit candle and an ice pick, but it was disappointing to have to do that.
