Not very durable for a golf ball

For an object that is intended to be hit really hard over and over, these aren't very durable. Out of the four balls that I bought for our 4-man team for a night tournament, only one was still lighting up at the end of the night. Definitely not recommended for any long clubs. They just don't seem to hold up to multiple high velocity impacts. Mine crapped out mid-flight on a tee shot when I used an old driver. We found it after a bit because we were able to track it during the first half of it's flight but it would not light up after that. Cool gimmick but not very durable. The blue and red are the brightest. The timer worked as advertised except for the white one. It would only stay lit for about 60 seconds. The other three would stay lit for the entire 8 minutes after impact. Ironically, it was the one that survived the night and is still working. For $7/ball, they are not really worth it

I bought these after trying out Night Flyers, because these were advertised as tournament size and weight. However, 2 out of 4 didn't light up - and I lost those two as a result. And I'm told these are not eligible for returns as well. Buyer beware - test these before playing it.

Fun gift for a golfer

I bought these as a Christmas present for a friend and after reading all of the other reviews I made sure to test these before I gave them as a gift. I just tested them by whacking them against my office chair leg while still in the package and all of them did light up. I had to hit them pretty hard but I'm guessing the club would impact them just as hard, if not harder. Since we live where it snows, it'll be awhile before my friend can play with them but based on how I tested them I think they'll be a good gift for any golfer.

Great LED Ball but not as durable as I hoped.

Been in the hunt for a good dependable LED golf ball. Was really hoping this was the one. This ball is super bright, no issues what so ever of keeping track of it. It's so bright that I also use it to light up my clubs to identify them.

Wish I could give them a 5 star rating but they didn't hold up to my expectation. I've received excellent customer service from them. When I had a ball fail, they happily replaced it for me.

I was expecting to get a ball that I could use with a full swing but after my experience from trying 8 balls they don't hold up well to the abuse of a full swing, but I haven't found an LED ball that has. When using a full swing I would get anywhere from 3-6 holes out of them before they would quit working. So if I knew up front that this ball isn't meant for a full swing I would have reviewed it differently. I still prefer them over any other ball for the short game,around the greens,putting and also lighting up the cup. For the long game I would recommend a ball that can handle more abuse.

Overall a great LED ball just don't take a full swing if you want them to last.

LEDs are cool, but hits like a rock

The LEDs are bright, and work well. But the balls hit like rocks. My Pings were not making their traditional sound.

Broke the first one off the tee (it would not turn off, and indeed did last about 40 hours before it burned out), the second took almost 18 dedicated holes before it started to break in and fly half way decently.

Good gadget toy, just really wish they hit as well as even a cheap ball. Cats love them though.

I've tried various one of these product and these are some of the best. They all are rock hard compared to real golf balls and I'm not sure if they have to be in order for them to work or what, but other than that they are fantastic. Reliability on these is better than the others I've tried, but some of these eventually stop working as well. Usually about 75% of them work for several uses and 25% fail after a few uses.

Fun and cool but did not last long

These were great the first evening out and a ton of people wanted to know where I got them. Few weeks later, and second time out, two of the four stopped lighting up all together. Another was sporadic at best. One is still going strong. Each time out we played two holes with them. Great novelty but not practical more than a few times out.

They are ok. 2 out of the 4 lasted longer than a couple hits. The other 2 died out after 3 or so hits. They dont have a real ball feel, kinda sounds weird when you hit it with a driver. However it is still pretty cool to be able to get one more hole in when it gets dark on the course and gets a lot of people attention. Nice novelty item not for any sort of serious golf

They all worked great the first time we used them. The second time, only one lit up. The batteries were fine. I have talked to other people who have used the Light Up Golf Balls and they have had the same issue. However, the company was very prompt and helpful in refunding my money.

Think Twice

These balls are cool for the fact they light up and fun but they are hard as a rock and definitely do not hit like your regular golf ball. If you just want to have some fun night golf, then it's for you. If you are buying this thinking they are a normal golf ball, that is not the case. My kids love them...my golf clubs do not.
